Funny Pics II: The Revenge

Recommended Posts

I just went ahead and subjected my kids to the 90s music I enjoyed.  On the flip side though, thanks to my kids growing up in the 90s I know far too much about Power Rangers, Pokemon and a clue-finding dog named Blue....

Modulo some of the people there, it might be.  One of my undergrad roommates spent his winters there (an his summers on the family yacht) and was the most despicable biped I have ever known.  If he were to be given compound fractures of both arms and both legs and left on one of the unhabited-by-humans islets in the Galapagos and left for the vampire finches to feed on, well, it'd be a start.

I'm very sorry you had to deal with such a person. But it sounds like the problem was his, not the resort's. It also sounds like you didn't have firsthand experience with Sun Valley yourself.

You shouldn't blame the sidewalk for the dog that craps on it.

The cool thing is that, since trends run on a thirty-year cycle, my flannel shirts and baggy jeans are trendy again.

And for that I agree with you.

My RL DEX 6 (in my 20s; it's worse now) also limits my ability to enjoy ski resorts.  I did try skiing (not with him, nor at that location), a total of four times, before I headed off for Points South for a decade.  It's more capital-intensive than I like, and (especially for someone as graceless as I) one's cross-section for substantial injury is larger than I am comfortable with.  If I were to try cross-country rather than alpine skiing my opinion might have been different, but I never experienced that other variety.

"She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts."

"I think it's time to trade in for a newer model."

"Whoa, that back seat is huge!"

("And that's when she hit me with the cast iron skillet, Your Honor.")
