On the flip side though, thanks to my kids growing up in the 90s I know far too much about Power Rangers, Pokemon and a clue-finding dog named Blue.... I did try skiing (not with him, nor at that location), a total of four times, before I headed off for Points South for a decade. It's more capital-intensive than I like, and (especially for someone as graceless as I) one's cross-section for substantial injury is larger than I am comfortable with. If I were to try cross-country rather than alpine skiing my opinion might have been different, but I never experienced that other variety.
