Re: What do you consider “Modern Paranormal”? So do the works of Laurell K.Hamilton. A better tack would be "Are there any characters with Powers,costumes & codenames fighting each other?" If not,but characters with Powers exist in the modern era,we are in the Modern Paranormal genre.

Re: Comics you loved...but apparently no one else did Talking as a New Zealander,I have to mention Captain Sunshine.It was a very short-lived comic designed to promote solar energy,and was about an alien who came to earth in a sentient spaceship to save the planet.Aside from the spaceship,his only powers were Flash (from his belt-buckle) and the ability to communicate with sentient beings (despite being humanoid,he much preferred dolphins to human beings).

Re: Alternative to VPP? I wouldn't.In general,an Attack Power bought as part of an EC should have only one SFX,unless the EC is something broad like "Weather Control Powers".

Re: Character out of balance Good point Trebuchet.However,I find it hard to believe,that in 13+ years of campaigning,your characters only have 50 Xp on average. Oh wait a minute,the Midgard team are relative novices,correct?
