My web-based campaign system has come along very nicely. Planning to use it alongside Roll20, among other campaigns.

Monsters, Minions, and Marauders PDF?
lou_tennant replied to bigbywolfe's topic in HERO Games Product Line
I wonder where I bought my copy, I definitely have one. -
I understood you could print material (in original format) for personal use, otherwise what is the point.

Dealing with a lethal campaign using character trees
lou_tennant replied to JoshuaDelanne's topic in HERO System Discussion
We just play characters with whatever EP they have earnt. Some characters have more EPs than others - but so have people in life - we even discussed this again more specifically. We all agreed that we don't mind either way, we trust the GM to keep things as 'in-line' as they feel necessary. The lower point characters typically get higher EP rewards per scenario and _can_ catch-up. There are all sorts of other 'natural' ways that total character points can differ and/or be controlled without necessarily having to use gaming-fudge. Something similar to the initial topic that we discussed recently was to give players a point 'pool' and require 3 characters to be built from this with max and min spends. This was primarily for a Champions game and was seen that it could allow for more flexibility on character concepts. Playing sessions would be put together (by the GM and players (at least in part)) to require different characters, or to be chronologically parallel or other to get a rotation or characters. Every player would 'buy in' to this idea and accept that there would be character point differences. -
Transformers OSTs.

@dmj that is what I first thought of. @JmOz, I have a few comments which you can take or leave; Regarding the 'costume' - doesn't he need an 'instant change' or whatever it is in 6th? I haven't seen much of 6th to date, you have the genre as low-powered but he totals 325pts <- is that low powered now? I assume that the HUD & Jet Pack are part of the costume? Does he always go around in his costume? Does this mean that all sessions he will be 'powered up'?presumably the campaign is heavily agent/mission based? I notice he doesn't have Psychological.

I suspect it is a Java update specifically. I have an outstanding update for that, but recently updated W7 and my HD is still working.

I just wanted to say I was surprised to see 7th Ed being discussed already (to any degree).

I have the 5e DC and I am using this for a new campaign I have recently started running, it also includes elements from old Danger International, Mental-based powers and some non-terrestrial tech.

Anyone _could_ be a contact, and you'd be surprised some of the contacts that have cropped up in 'our' campaigns. Stock-broker Fence Taxi driver Fireman Bar worker Reporter Librarian Lab Technician Gym owner Quarter-master Antiquarian Various celebs - race-driver, film star, author, anchorman Gardener Criminal It really depends on the circles that the characters circulate in and what social groups and/or information that the character may need for the scenarios/campaign.

Is there still a fourth slot?

What fighting style would be best for a teleporter ?
lou_tennant replied to Basic204's topic in Champions
Teleport used as an attack? Build a multi-power; with different ways of using the teleport power as attack as a personal move to transport a group etc -
Sorry, I wasn't 'listening' when it was last said...

I was expecting this to be a predatory female character...

I have done this in my current campaign, and decided that 'special effect' was the important part and replicating that was more important that constructing it as a set of powers. So I worked on creating a set of 'rules' by which the virus operated, rather than building individual powers. One of the reasons that I decided a set of rules was important was the fact that a good medical professional could (with enough victims/carriers) be able to breakdown the timeframes involved and then extended this into developing one (or more) cures to slow/reverse/eradicate the virus. I shall dig out the exact rules I put together and post them up.

Version v1.4
558 downloads
6E HTML The Ultimate Character Sheet v1.4 This version 1.4 has been updated and a few corrections to some broken maths by lou_tennant, 14th May 2014. This character export sheet looks different than the plain black and white sheets. It is styled to match the colours of the rule books and is done in a fun highly legible style. It has the functionality of the default character sheet, but has the following differences: Collates all combat information including Attack Powers, Defense Powers, Sensory Powers, Equipment and Martial Maneuvers in a special page block. Along with useful combat stats, combat values, combat modifiers, and hit locations tables. Powers, Equipment, Talents, Martial Arts, Skills, Perks, and Complications are in a wider single column format. Any notes you've included in the Hero Designer will be now be visible! Respects any formating you've done to your powers or abilities. Numbered list titles and numbering. Skills, abilities rolls, and Endurance costs clearly visible along the left hand side. Point costs on the right. Split into 4 pages for cleaner printing. The character image is on the 1st page with characteristics, personality, quotes, background and descriptive information. The recommended picture size: 288px wide. The image should be anywhere from 352px to 442px tall. The file "herologo.png"; needs to be included in same directory as the export file. If the character has an image associated with it and you want to have that image included in the HTML output, you will need to save that image into the same directory as the HTML file when you export (the export wizard will prompt you to save the image). --Earlier versions (v1.3-) of this character sheet were modified from the Default character sheet by desaturated. v1.3 can be found here: http://www.herogames.com/forums/files/file/66-6e-html-the-ultimate-character-sheet-by-desaturated/.- 3 comments

My approach is pretty much the same as this, I know what I am like as a player, especially for thinking no where near the box (depends on my character of course) and looking for unusual ways to do things. I also take in to account that as GMs and players differ in their intellect/cunning that the characters they represent I feel I have to make allowance for this when I GM - if the villian is a super-scientist with high IQ, then there is plenty of things that he will think of that I (as humble average-IQ none-sciency-type) will not be able to think of. The question then comes down to how clever are the PCs by comparison. This has to be 'by ear' as the players think of things to do, could/would the villian have thought of this - even if I did not - then act accordingly.

I have all the others, but I don't seem to have A-C, though I do have 'C'.
