  4. I have submitted three events, waiting to hear back form Origins if they are accepted.
  5. They are going to do an online con on the same dates, the in person con is cancelled.
  6. Please watch the Conventions sub-forum topic: Origins Online I will be running Teen Champions games designed for newbies. I will post there about my games as soon as I submit them.
  7. It would be very useful! I have used it and when you combine with the character packs [like from Fantasy Hero] you can make characters and monsters easily.
  8. Very interesting indeed. They mention possible GM perks... interesting....
  9. Have the players figure out next crime the shapeshifter will do. Then have the Heroes show up [maybe with a invited reporter]. And of course you have to have to have the "shoot him" / "no shoot him" scene.
  10. If I have read the volume 1 of the sixth edition rules correctly one can not have absorption of a mental attack. Short of the GM allowing such, any other way to have Mental attacks absorb and increase a power?
  11. Foxbat plan is simple: Kidnap Steve Long, force him to rewrite Foxbat's stats to huge values and CHANGE REALITY AS WE KNOW IT!
  12. I have read some of the PDF it is QUITE good. Has the flavor of D&D. The art is good and the writing is well done. They even have a DICE roll on the special web page of Wendy's site. I hope someone will nominate it for a gaming award.
  13. May I recommend: I ran a game for two high school kids for a few sessions. I had them create two main characters and two sidekicks. Sidekicks where 50% power of the main characters. It worked well .
  14. A suggestion for the store, ability to filter / display products to show what is new or show a data range.
  15. They ALSO have small plastic barn yard animals. Again $1. Dollar Tree also has a L E G O like plastic blocks [and bases] again for $1. Pens, pencils, and notebooks [INCLUDING blue books made famous by Hero System] are only $1 . As you might tell I shop there a lot.
  16. Dollar Tree for dice: 10 PLASTIC dice SKU: 130845 The file below is a picture of them. download.webp
  17. At GENCON and ORIGINs conventions years back I ran a Hero 5th edition melee game, two groups of players vs. each other. It was to teach new players. If I remember correctly the max was 14. It went very well, a big battle mat, lots of minis, simple setup [do a bank robbery at night, stop a bank robbery at night]. A important thing was pre-generated characters from each archtypes [two of each each side could only have one of each archtype] at 250 points and power point limits. I had character sheets and two page how to guide for each player. It was fun. Especially when the players figured out "change dance partners" tactic.
  18. PLEASE everyone we are down to under 100 hours left. The second set of deck will UNLOCK with about $1000 more needing to be pledged. Please consider it, it would make the deck product even more valuable to the Hero Systems players!!

  20. A lot of my characters (super and pulp) often have vehicles. Sometime they are supplied to the characters, usually for transport. Fun addition to characters IMHO.
  21. Re: HAP: How to use them I allow them to alter any dice roll, but must declare in advance how many to spend (including enough needed for desired effect). I allow players to use ALL they have to save themselves from death, but they will be out of action for a period of time. In my Pulp game they are also rewarded for good role playing as a bonus, but I award session HAP points secretly.
  22. Re: Best Complication / Disadvantage? "My past is a blank...." A Pulp Hero mystery man had this, only very basic facts he knew, like his name, that he was Great War veteran, and that his family was murdered (by ????). That was it. For a GM is was fun as I filled it in slowly over several sessions. It was a custom disad worth 40pts. I loved it when he was recognized by people he had no clue about, very good roleplaying was had.
