Re: Superhero Images

Only at random and when bored. Keep an eye out for the Acro is bored thread to rear its ugly head.

Yo, Acro, do you have a website of your art? Do you take art commissions? Forgot to ask if you could PM me your answer: it's erratic when I visit these boards nowadays - life y'know.

Re: Superhero Images

No on both counts.

I'm not what you'd call a prolific artist. In fact, I take tons of shortcuts. Add to that, I don't actually possess most of my good stuff.

As for commissions, it wouldn't be as cool to charge people when I also give it away for free. This also means I don't have to draw when I don't feel like it. :) The thought's crossed my mind a number of times, especially right now (I'm unemployed, the holidays are coming, etc). If enough people ask, I might consider it more seriously.

Acro, you are being far too generous with your skills and far too critical of them as well. Art is a labor of love and the people who get to make a living at it are fortunate. If those of us without artistic ability want to pay those of you who have it to commision artwork, then how are you being uncool? The art you create is yours to do with as you please. I don't think it can hurt your reputation as an artist to create commissioned pieces.

Keith, Storn, Nato as regular visitors to this board, could you guys help Acro out here? I'm sure as pofessional artists he could use your advice.

This is a character from my campaign' date=' his stats are posted elsewhere (check the Jet City Champions Campaign Log or the Civic Guard threads). This is the Fremont Troll.[/quote']

Fremont Troll is a better name than what I would have come up with. If I was naming him, it would probably be Captain Caveman :)

Maybe you should try it. If you can turn it into a career, well, there's nothing better than doing something you love.

However, if it really bugs you, you could always just charge very little for a month or two. If you ever go pro, you could then raise it and see if folks are still interested.

Got some refs for you guys see if you can create some heroines from these refs. Got them from the DAZ catalog I've got in my Email at Yahoo.

I do not know what this means. DAZ is a rendering program, right? Did you use it to create these?

These are all nice, but a little small. Any chance you could share bigger versions?

Re: Superhero Images

Well, I haven't posted anything in a bit simply because I've been working too much, and only doing more fantasy-based stuff for myself lately.

However, I was scanning in a few pictures yesterday, stuff that I did years ago, and found one that is more-or-less superheroey (that is kinda a word, I think).

Just a pic of an armoured space suit.

Re: Superhero Images

Here is The Mirage ,a gifted security specialist with the ability to cloud the perceptions of those around him so that he appears as whatever he wants them to see. Coupled with a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, a 19- in Security Systems and a 15- in Hacking, he is sought after by government agencies and others to retrieve the irretrievable. When brains don’t work he has an HK MP5 and a Colt M911 to aid in his endeavors.
