Tech
Re: Superhero Images Only at random and when bored. Keep an eye out for the Acro is bored thread to rear its ugly head. Yo, Acro, do you have a website of your art? Do you take art commissions? Forgot to ask if you could PM me your answer: it's erratic when I visit these boards nowadays - life y'know. Acroyear
Re: Superhero Images No on both counts. I'm not what you'd call a prolific artist. In fact, I take tons of shortcuts. Add to that, I don't actually possess most of my good stuff. As for commissions, it wouldn't be as cool to charge people when I also give it away for free. This also means I don't have to draw when I don't feel like it. The thought's crossed my mind a number of times, especially right now (I'm unemployed, the holidays are coming, etc). If enough people ask, I might consider it more seriously.
levi
Re: Superhero Images As for commissions' date=' it wouldn't be as cool to charge people when I also give it away for free.[/quote'] Acro, you are being far too generous with your skills and far too critical of them as well. Art is a labor of love and the people who get to make a living at it are fortunate. If those of us without artistic ability want to pay those of you who have it to commision artwork, then how are you being uncool? The art you create is yours to do with as you please. I don't think it can hurt your reputation as an artist to create commissioned pieces. Keith, Storn, Nato as regular visitors to this board, could you guys help Acro out here? I'm sure as pofessional artists he could use your advice.
jackalope
Re: Superhero Images This is a character from my campaign, his stats are posted elsewhere (check the Jet City Champions Campaign Log or the Civic Guard threads). If I was naming him, it would probably be Captain Caveman

If enough people ask, I might consider it more seriously. Maybe you should try it. If you can turn it into a career, well, there's nothing better than doing something you love. However, if it really bugs you, you could always just charge very little for a month or two. If you ever go pro, you could then raise it and see if folks are still interested. IanSokoliwski
Re: Superhero Images Well, I haven't posted anything in a bit simply because I've been working too much, and only doing more fantasy-based stuff for myself lately. However, I was scanning in a few pictures yesterday, stuff that I did years ago, and found one that is more-or-less superheroey (that is kinda a word, I think). Just a pic of an armoured space suit. death tribble

IanSokoliwski
Re: Superhero Images Thanks I don't have a colourized version right now - I don't know when I can get around to colouring it, either - I'm pretty swamped with paying gigs at the moment.
