Pariah
I'm ready to be done with it. Forever. We pretend we don't know what time it is for nearly 2/3 of the year. Preposterous. rravenwood

death tribble
I saw friends for the first time since February 2020. So we played King of Tokyo (Dark Edition), Judge Dredd and Ticket to Ride Europe edition. There was also a one page Fighting Fantasy style game where you collectively decide what you do. Which was fun as you also had to do the death scenes. Travelled from London instead of Plymouth so was able to spend more time there and I got there earlier. Also got my birthday presents and Christmas presents. KFC for tea and back into London and the Hotel before the 10:00 o'clock door lock time. tkdguy
death tribble
Spent several days in London going to the Spirit of London event, looking for Turkish Delight and getting alcohol from a specialist shop (Gerry's). Also met old work friends for the first time in over three years at least for a Friday night drink. The Spirit event meant a glass of champagne at the Champagne bar. Got my mum's New Year's pressies and her Christmas gifts. Got a Christmas gift for one of Mum's friends and a gift for my cousin. Also got quite a lot of booze including a coffee liqueur, raspberry liqueur, port, a cocktail mix, bloody mary mix, gin made by Ian Botham (legendary Cricket hero), Prosecco (a very good one and signed to my Mother for Christmas), a raspberry fizz and a collection of bespoke cocktails. Bravarian bratwurst for lunch. Bliss ! The champagne was an accompanyment to a salmon bagal. Trying to get Rose Turkish Delight was a problem (you can get boxed but it ain't the same) but Selfridges came through for me. Gerry's allowed me to get a birthday present for Sam in Reading as well as Triple Sec, Tuaca and Commandaria which are all favourites. Had a nice Friday evening drink with old work friends that I had not seen in years. To chat with them again was good even though they look a little frail. tkdguy
Ternaugh
Quarterly visit to my doctor, I managed to add 6.2 lbs of muscle and lose 3 lbs of fat since the last visit. Meanwhile, the roofing company is almost done with replacing my wood shake shingle mansard roof with fiberglass shingles. That should keep the HOA happy, at least for a little while. tkdguy

Game is 7 Wonders. That's a great game when you have 6 or 7 people. Unlike most boardgames, it doesn't slow to a crawl with that many participants, and the game is better with more people. There are expansions for it, but I don't have them, and I don't consider them necessary.

death tribble
The cards and chocolate parcels are now en route to America. Received in the post Wingspan and European expansion. As a non-Amazon delivery it took 12 days to process the order and have it delivered.
Cancer
I own a copy of Wingspan but have never opened it. The maximum number of players and type of game means that with our gaming group only rarely do we play that sort of thing, and not at all since the pandemic broke out. death tribble
One of the cousins and her wife arrived and gave presents for Christmas. They are heading up to Kent for the holidays to see both sets of their parents. For my cousin it is probably her mother's last Christmas as she has pancreatic cancer.
