Starguard: Would wear something cheerfully cute, and probably spend her Halloween helping dispense candy for charity or escorting kids around (in which event she'd be in her superhero costume). Dr. Pain: Is a little old for Halloween, and would be at home watching a monster movie in celebration of the occasion. Kaian: Amusingly, the campaign Kaian was a PC in had an episode with a Halloween party... a high-society function sponsored by the PC whose (Public) Identity was a corporate multi-millionaire. Kaian dressed up as the opera character Scaramouche, precisely because it let him wear a mask, carry a sword, and wear a cape big enough to hide some of his arsenal into a fancy-dress party. Sure enough, supervillains crashed it, just as he was expecting. But then that seems to happen most evenings. just as well Cleanse is a 0-level cantrip.... Zero, on the other hand, would going all out for traditional decorations (no plastic rubbish, unless it's original 1950s), maybe set up the team's Wooden Cigar Indian by the door suitably decked out, and possibly even invite the nicer people he knows over for a modest party. Would she wear something slutty, or something glamourous? Probably something sluttily glamourous. Arachne is at that age (16) where she's getting a little too old to trick or treat, but she still wants the candy. Most of her friends would be those annoying teens who go out late and don't really wear much of a costume. She probably wouldn't do that. She might hand out candy to the little ones at a church or social function, though (assuming she wasn't on patrol). Adamant wouldn't put up with such foolishness as dressing up. Plex is a public ID body morph: stretching, minor shape shift, etc-- Plasticman without the goofiness, though he is something of a show-off. . He has a mechanical engineering background. He'd cobble together a Transformer costume, simply because it would give him the opportunity to show off, twisting himself about to make it "transform." Anything to make the kids laugh and squeal. BoneYard is a multiform minibrick, but his powered form is hideous and extremely frightening to the majority of people. He'd go "normal" and dress up as something flamboyant: a Disney-type Prince Charming or something. Armorine is also a mutliformer, but she'd go as her super-self, in the hopes that her presence might illicit further interest in whichever charity function she chose to attend. I'm handing out candy; I love to see the costumes." Olorin - As a mage, he could go as anything. Most likely as Odo from Star Trek Deep Space Nine - including the shape changing. He'd love it. Black Tiger - Suggest it and he scowls and growls. Would not do it. Leadman - "Kid stuff. Some of the costumes are good though." Futurian "Are you kidding? I'm in!" He'd go as Darth Vader. I can't see Vagabond going trick or treating, but he'd have plenty of options since he's got full Instant Change if he did... Speedzone would only get 'dressed up' if Tim and Janice were invited to a costume party. The fun part would be the pair of them trying to decide what to go as. They both have costumed ID's, and they're both tech geeks. Maybe an Oxygen molecule. Though if Jan decided to be a bit daring (unlikely, but possible given her transformation)... Decisions, decisions... Focus is old enough to not be into the idea of the house to house bit (never mind being ridiculously rich), but a costume party is an excellent excuse to go out with Miranda. A good excuse to get her into a harem costume again too, but the one she ended up in the one time isn't something her guardian is likely to let her out of the house in and anything else would be too much of a letdown for teenage hormones (;D). All things considered, JT would probably end up a 'knight in shining armor' unless Miranda wanted to talk him into something different... Iron Maiden tends to dress up as...Iron Maiden and drop in on open parties, as described in her blog: Title: The Great Thing About Halloween... You can go out to a halloween party and nobody knows it's you. Even if you're wearing an amazingly authentic Iron Maiden costume. I'm just saying.... It's nice to get compliments on your costume, and even nicer to have people compliment you on your attention to detail. (Though let's face it, my costume isn't all that hard to imitate--it's all commercially available items. My stunning fashion sense comes in how I put it all together like a master chef! Yeah. That's it.) Though not...everyone appreciated my halloween costume. I love fandom. I really do. They're my tribe. I was a fangirl long before I decided to become a superheroine. But one of the less endearing traits of my fellow fans is this tendency to pontificate on things about which they know a lot less than they like to believe they do. So to the Authenticity Nazis who lectured me on my mediocre Iron Maiden costume, I say: nuts to you! We didn't stay long at anyone party, though we hit three or four that night, but it was fun while it lasted. *Yes, Wild Lotus was there too. People thought it was a very clever costume idea, two women dressing up as Iron Maiden and Wild Lotus. Hell, if we'd stayed, we probably could have won the costume contest. But that wouldn't have been fair--and besides, they'd have expected us to unmask and that just wasn't gonna happen. And at every party while I was being lectured by the Authenticity Police, Wild Lotus was being swarmed by horny frat boys. Not that I can blame them. I'm straight and I think she's hot. Which is not to say that I didn't have a few admirers too, but something about statuesque red heads seems to bring them out of the woodwork. Still...I had fun. Which was the whole point of this exercise. P.S. To "Gandalf" at that last party: I confess, you kiss very well. But you really need to work on your close. Suggesting that "we invite (my) red headed friend to join us" when we haven't yet established that I'm going to "polish your staff" was just...dumb. And rude. He's a big fan, although he'll admit to having a bit more than half of Holmes' intellect. Imagine the surprise when he pulls out a Walther PPK...Next time he's going to dress as Zorro. Casey would be a challenge; as a car, make-up or prostheses tend to mar the clear-coat. You could attach things under the body on the chassis or through his windows, and he could go as a Rose Parade float, or as Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang. I'm sure Super Model would have some Halloween runway show or event to attend. So her wardrobe would probably be chosen by the fashion designer behind the whole thing. Earth Girl would festoon herself in the Autumn harvest for the occasion. Think golden wheat stalks, pumpkin vines, and ripe apples. I see her showing up to bless various pagan festivals that are held in the outdoors. Kurzhaan the Conqueror isn't familiar with Halloween, but as a werewolf he sort of is his own costume for the holiday. He'd probably get a big kick out of walking around at parties or street fairs in wolf-man form and having everyone think it's a great outfit... until they notice that there aren't any seams or zippers. Knockout’s first encounter fighting crime was on his way to a company Halloween party dressed as Zorro. His current costume still has some Zorro-esque elements, most notably the mask. So he’d probably revisit his favorite hero and go as Zorro. Just imagine a 6’4”, bulky muscled, somewhat clumsy, obviously very white guy, crammed into a Zorro costume a size or two too small (“sorry sir, we don’t have anything in 3XL”). If he doesnt have an official crimefighting costume, do you really think he is dressing up for Halloween? Frosty Bob-Depends. How much is he really trying to impress that "hot chick" that will be at the party? Ever since she first saw Miller's The DarkKnight Returns she's always wanted to be Robin. So she might have the Robin costume; Next choice would be batgirl. She doesn't feel she can pull off Wonder Woman (who is much larger in stature and build). Don't think any of my others would dress up. Uncle Slam is too dignified. Audra Blue never leaves the base. Lance O'Bannon, the Singing Cowboy would probably just patrol the streets on his robotic horse. Like every singing cowboy, he's kind of flambouyantly dressed anyway. Bob Tiger would dress up in furry shorts that matched his tiger stripes and take his kids trick-or-treating as Hobbes, the Tiger. If asked where Calvin was, he'd say: "He's still trying to reform the reformation." Thunder Rabbit would carry an Easter Basket and claim he just wanted to see what it was like to get candy for once. TCWOAN would probably just hide in the shadows, inducing narcolepsy in candy-stealing bullies and otherwise keeping kids safe. Fist-Man would definitely NOT shave his head, obtain a corncob pipe and sailor togs and go dressed as Popeye, but if he did, he'd be a dead ringer for him.
