Lord Liaden
I think of Marvel's Captain Marvel as a name looking for a character. Since Mar-Vell none of its multiple holders have gained much popularity or shown real staying power in the identity. The cynic in me believes Marvel just wants to keep publishing any CM to keep the rights to the name from reverting back to DC. OTOH Carol Danvers is a character looking for a name. I can't think of any superhero who has gone through more identities. It's like Marvel thinks they should do something with her, but can't make up their minds. I haven't followed comics much this millennium, so until her MCU movie was announced I didn't even know she was going by Captain Marvel. Christopher R Taylor
How many names has Monica Rambeau had? She was Captain Marvel at first, but according to Marvel's page she has had these names: Monica Marvel Sun Goddess Lady of Light Spectrum Daystar Photon Pulsar I don't think she even has a code name in the MCU, because they hate all that stuff Lord Liaden

The others seem to have been briefly temporary ones adopted or given to her for specific story reasons.
Christopher R Taylor
I think she's going by Pulsar now? I don't know I haven't read anything from the Big 2 for like 20 years now.
Lord Liaden
Ditto. All of Rambeau's super code names are serviceable, but I feel they lack a distinctive resonance.

"Avengers Mom." Look, she's the woman who got Tabitha "Boom-Boom" Smith's respect. Let's see a regular superhero do that. Okay, Captain America. But besides him! And since I'm here, and this is the topic, are we watching X-Men '97? 'Cuz I like it. Ternaugh
Hermit
X-Men 97 has been amazing, and doing a good job of taking a lot of storylines from the comics and weaving them on the small screen.

Lord Liaden
They see to be drawing more from the late Nineties animated series than from the comics, and in that Colossus was essentially replaced by Rogue as team brick.

I'm expecting that the IMDB page for CGI Space Cloud would also include episodes of Star Trek and Dr. Who, as well as a recurring role in Lost. The head shots would be a bit fuzzy, though.
