Happy Halloween! A few years ago I created a map using Dundjinni and artwork from the CSUAC site for Dark Champions. The map title was "The Vick Memorial Dogfighting Arena" and was used as a fill in with two dark champs who stopped the illegal fights and got some background on one of the Mexican gangs that led to some more adventures later on. One of the campaign ideas I've been toying around with has been the notion of PCs as "honorable" gangsters. Take a little bit of "Goodfellas" and mix with Hong Kong films and the "Kill Bill" movies. Since the PCs would be anti-hero sorts, the bad guys would need to be really villainous to contrast. Has anyone ever tried a campaign like this? How did it work out?

I remember a villain called the Master of Crime. I am looking for him but unable to find him. Was he stopped in 6th Ed? Where is he from? Did he morph into the head of the Card Sharks? I sort of remember him from 4th Ed but haven't found him. Any help anyone?

If a character wrapped a garrote around an unsuspecting enemy's neck, then reversed their stance and let the enemy get strangled while hoisting them up along their back (the garrote is very strong), how would this be accomplished, and what would the damage/penalties to the enemy be?

Stan Lee and Marvel had that series about people with unusual abilities beyond human norms. William Shatner suggests such things in his new series as well. I see these abilities as Dark Champions special abilities or powers. There is part of the brain that slows your body down and with a sense of purpose has allowed people to survive by sheer willpower. I am wondering if others have found such examples.

I'm gearing up soldiers in an alternate-history game of mine, but want to avoid conventional weaponry for the sake of flavour. So far, I have the Heckler and Koch G11 as their rifle of choice, but am stumped in terms of sidearm, machine gun, and grenades. I need weapons that are innovative (perhaps better in some ways), but didn't catch on in "our" timeline for whatever reasons.

Just curious and wondering if there is a Hero variation or alternative rule that uses Ego Score or rolls to create a situation like the sanity points in Call of Cthulu type games and genre? I would like to incorporate more of this aspect into a Dark Champions or even a Steampunk game. It would make it much more interesting to throw the curve ball of the supernatural in. Anyone see anything like that?
