Ok, I used to play champions a lot in high school, like over 10 years ago and I've just volunteered to GM a Star hero campaign. I'm trying to come up with some ideas for what we are going to do but could use some help. We will have 3 characters as Heroes in this setting. I think one wants to be a super type and the other 2 want to be more along the lines of talented normals. Other than that I have nothing. One of the gimmicks I've seen in more "realistic" scifi is using mathematics to communicate (or at least establish a basis for communication). Have you ever used anything like that? Would it be SS: Mathematics, Cryptography, or language: Math, basic conversation? I guess universal translator would work, but somehow I don't like the idea.

I was reading over Star Wars d20 and I noticed that it plays nicely at the old school lower powered Jedi from the original trilogy. But if you watch Clone Wars cartoon on CN you notice that the Jedi are WAY more powerful there. After tinkering around I have gathered that HERO and maybe MnM are the only systems that could handle this strength level in a consistant way. (Still relearning GURPS 4e so I shall not comment on it.) Ever play a Sci-Fi setting with people this powerful?

G'day I'm looking for a good, preferrably compact, character sheet for heroic characters in non-fantasy campaigns. Heroic characters don't need a lot of space for recording powers or spells, but it would be nice to have a well-laid-out hit location / armour table, space for weapons stats, etc. Can anyone recommend something that might suit? Hello all, I'm currently playing a ship's doctor and I was wondering if anyone has given any thought to medical technology in StarHero beyond the little bit in the books. I don't have the Spacer's Toolkit (but I have looked through it), but I do have StarHero, Alien Wars and Terran Empire. These have very little other than a few gadgets and drugs. Ideally I'd like to find a description and writeup of the medical equipment in the sickbay of a merchant vessel or other small vessel as well as descriptions and writeups of other medical equipment. I’m working on a Stargate sg-1 Hero game, yah I know original ain’t it? But I wanted to bounce it off of you all before I hammered more into it. As far as the packages and so forth I’ve done a fair job, I run really skill heavy, and know this, I have redone the skill list for Hero, and as such much of the packages, though most aren’t where I’d like them to be yet… so I’ll keep those. Needless to say it’s still looking like a total of 350 points for most Characters, but I’ll probably be going the route of 300 base, and 50 with disadvantages…. Years ago at the request of another poster, I cobbled together a quick calculator where in if you had two of the variable (T, A or D) you would get the third. Very useful for 'hard'ish sci-fi. How long does it take to get to the moon? Simply enter the distance, and acceleration in Gs (or fractions there of) and voila. Well I updated the file last year and realized I had never reposted it. So here it is. TAD 2.0. It is a Excel 2000 spreadsheet. Simply enter the variables you know to get the one you don't.
