BoloOfEarth
Re: "Neat" Pictures Why is "everyone wears pantsuits" a good thing? Well, as it applies to Enforcer84... And then there's the woman I saw shopping one day. She was wearing spandex. Problem was, she was about 30 years and 30 pounds past the point where spandex was a viable clothing choice. Pariah
Re: "Neat" Pictures Not to be pedantic, but in that "Twenty Two Reasons to Go to Space", the second number in point 14 should be labeled 'Density', not 'Volume'. Many good points, though, especially about the Earth being too small a basket. JMS says it this way in Babylon 5, via Commander Sinclair: "Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe and Lao-Tzu, Einstein, Morobuto, Buddy Holly, Aristophanes .. and all of this .. all of this was for nothing unless we go to the stars."
