Well, the Oompa Loompas were specifically taken in by Willy Wonka because they were too weak to make it on their own, IIRC. The Munchkins were mostly too terrorized by the witch to be worth much in a fight...the Lollipop Guild would go down swinging, but I think there's just too much PTSD in Munchkinland...the Guild doesn't have the numbers to stand.
