Cancer
Re: A Thread for Random Musings Urban stargazing in Seattle isn't entirely futile, but it's a low-odds enterprise. Nevertheless, I'll be talking to a reporter with the school paper about it in a couple of days.
ghost-angel
Re: A Thread for Random Musings I bought a bicycle today. I haven't ridden one in something like 12 years. I plan to ride every day after work, and maybe on my days off if I can swing it. bikes are expensive these days.
austenandrews
Re: A Thread for Random Musings My wife recently quit her job. This week marks the start of her being a full-time homemaker (or whatever the term is these days). I've been looking forward to her taking over the duties of getting the kids ready for school in the morning. But I haven't yet wrapped my brain around the idea that I can come home and just relax with the kids until dinnertime. And she'll willingly bring me a drink and stuff. It's all so Ozzie & Harriett, I'm not sure how to react. Maybe I should buy a pipe.
AliceTheOwl
Re: A Thread for Random Musings It is done. Stupid laconic roleplaying character who turns out to have a lot of things to say . . . I'm talking, of course, about my latest Valdorian Age short story. I didn't bother posting it on the site; it's too long. It's on my writing LJ. I put a link up. AliceTheOwl
Re: this guy is cool Do not speak to me of French or Californian wine! Give me mine straight from Italy or Germany, or none at all! One would think that a woman who started on wine coolers and hard apple cider wouldn't be so discerning.

Dust Raven
Re: A Thread for Random Musings This morning the power to my building was shut off. My alarm didn't go off. I not only missed school, but I missed the event of 01:02:03 04/05/06 this afternoon (didn't miss it in the morning, just no one else was awake to share it with, ironic isn't it?). zornwil
Re: A Thread for Random Musings I met a Cthuhlu gamer geek, one of the women working at the local pharmacy we go to. I complimented her on her "What Would Cthuhlu Do?" t-shirt, then she started talking on her own about the CoC games she had been in. On another note, 2e of M&M is indeed quite impressive. Nice work. Finally read it recently.
zornwil
Re: A Thread for Random Musings Oh, also, listening to the Seinfeld "Chinese Restaurant" episode - audio only, the channel it recorded on isn't coming through on video, so just like a radio show!
