If the lasers are put in as I expect they should be (below the windshield, and with glancing incidence for the beams on the windshield) then the reflected power goes upward. That means a fleet of autonomous vehicles becomes a large scale upward laser battery ... perhaps for antiaircraft, but also perhaps for antisatellite purposes. So this could be intended to mess with other billionaires' satellite megaconstellations. Intriguing idea. I never imagined that it might shake out that there were two Skynet-like entities, and they were primarily concerned with taking out the other network first. Hmmmm.
