Re: Crusader, version Skuld only knows... I thought Crusader should have been a member of one of the versions of the Champions.I like him better than Nighthawk in the current team.When I started out playing Champions I used the 200pt version till I got used to character generation.

Re: Foxbat and... I'd have to team him up with Pulsar & Leroy..err Exo. I my old campagin Foxbat had a team straight out of the Champions comic(Leroy the Exo-skeleton Man & Slyvia the vampire) plus I added Pulsar.Best scene was one of the players was playing an UNTIL agent & was the only one standing against Foxbat & Co..All his equipment was gone & all he had was a swiss army knife,He decided to charge them in hopes of getting them flee.He held up his swiss army knife & charged screaming at the top of his lungs.Leroy & Pulsar freeked thinking he had a special weapon.Foxbat ponged him.Leroy & Pulsar had to go through the rest of the game being ragged on by Foxbat.Agent Montana became very well respected by both the villians & heroes.

Re: What about a Space 1999 Hero Same company & producers,but different "universes".When production on Space:1999 started it was suppose to be a spin-off of UFO.But the Anderson's decided to make it a stand-alone show.Starlog #10 I think had the back story of how 1999 came about,with some really cool pics of Moonbase Alpha sketches.I have it somewhere w/ my Moonbase Alpha Technical Notebook.

Re: New NBC Show--Life So far I liked what I saw.Lewis & Arkin are the best parts of the show for me.I keep watching it,as I'm a big fan of both actors.I like the rappor he has so far with his new Partner,but I think his old partner has something to do with him goin' ta jail. Another show I'm liking so far is K-Ville.It's about 2 cops in New Orleans post Katrina.Ones a con who came up with a new id after Katrina to start over.I've seen two episodes so far & I think I'll keep up with it.

In an AntiTerrorist game using Twlight 2000;Our Team Sniper was ordered by the Team Leader too "Shoot anyone who comes out that door......The Team Leader stepped out the door a couple seconds later w/o canceling the order.Our team sniper liked to carry a Barrett .50 cal..The TL player is still kidded about it 10 years later.

Re: Imperial Ground Equipment They used the Spacesuits during the Tholian Web episode,when they boarded the USS Defiant.The Life support belt in the Animated Series,which is not considered cannon.

Frist started with the wrap around cover w/Gargoyle,an-Iron Man clone,Green lantern clone & female hero taking on a powered armored(w/eye-beam)Dr Doom(maybe an older version of Dr Destroyer).I think it was late 81 or early 82.I was the one in our group who bought Danger International/Justice,Inc. & tryed to bring into our game things that later became part of the total package system during 4th.Had fun bringing the group kicking & screaming into 4th & 5th editions(was the 1st in our group to buy both.)

Re: Power Build: Super Archery Also check out Fantasy Hero,it has Combat Archery & Rapid Archery.I just got done updating my Black Archer Character from 4th to 5th.(originally wrote him up in '86). I found the archery stuff in Fantasy Hero very helpful.

Yea in our Champions campagins,all the PA/PS characters tremble in fear of Engineer.The wrost was when Engineer took over Man-Montain's armor & was having him wade through traffic & start destroying cars full of people(He has a 20pt CVK),MM started tearing out wires in his suit with his teeth.He got messed up very badly.

Re: Golden Age Champions Is GAC going to be like Pulp Hero in size & format?I've got both earlier editions & I'm very much looking forward to this book.The last month,since I broke my ankle ,I've been working on restarting my GAC campagin using Pulp Hero & Champions Universe quite a bit.

Re: Summon as Duplication One of our players runs 2 Duplicaters in our San Angelo campaign.1st she Duped who could split in two;each with it's own name(original:Sabrina & the dupe is Imogene) & personallity.Both got pregnate but differant guys,& both had twins.Imogene hated having to merge w/Sabrina & at one point ran away & the team helped Sabrina track her down.Now one of the children of Duped is a duplicater called Images(she can split into 4 people with the same problem as her mother's;that family is weird as heck).In a closed world game I run(I started it w/the FRED book to get them to get used to the new edition,& it worked we've switched our games to 5th;) ),Kim runs another version of Duped called Double Take (she used some of the new adds/limits for duplication(altered dupes,ranged recombination & the killer.....feedback). Now my duplicator is call Flashback(not the one from Alpha Flight,but similar x16 duplication),but he dosen't name each dupe(they all call each other they're joint name);each is identical to each other.

Re: Doing the co-GM thing We usually talk with each other to see if using a certain team/villian will affect anybody elses game.We've got several games of Champions on goin'.I run a Campaign set in a town called Bay Reve,Oregon (on the coast,Between Port Orford & Gold Beach,Oregon.)w/ the Hero Team from the Pacific Marine Institute.One of the others took over my old government sponsered team Vanguard & moved it from Marion,Ohio(where we all live in RL) to Miami,Fl;& they were transferred from NSA control to DEA control.Then we have the San Angelo,Calif. campaign; our Mercenary Team campaign & Hudson City,New Jersey campaign.Plus the Marion Freeworld campaign(our original campaign)which we have to coordinate very carefully(we had 2 & possiblly a 3 Viper Nests operating in the area at the sametime.) so we don't interfer with each other.At one point(in Marion)I had my main character Skyraider n 3 games at the same time(I felt like Batman,being in 4 Batman comics & in the JLA plus guess spots in the Titans & god knows what other books.);I had a fun time keeping track of what was goin' on.Besides Marion the only one we have to keep track of is Bay Reve & San Angelo due to being on the west coast.James & I try to keep a list of who's where out there,no problems so far.

Re: Custom Mechanon One of the gm's in our group;for his closed world;turned Mechanon into an Automaton & he's got some of Engineer's powers(over machines).In this world Mechanon took over Genocide & replaced all it's operatives w/robot doubles, & so he has control of all those Minutemen(who were also turned into Automaton).I did a similar thing years ago in a dimension-hopping game(Mechanon & Engineer got merged at one of his factories).Mechanon also has human-sized Minutemen(yea he read X-men during the last Sentinel storyline).As Automatons these Minutemen are tough fights,very tough.(one time we faced 3 of them.We lost 2 heroes (out of 8 heroes;one got better though .He has resurrection.)& we only took out one & lightly damaged a second.(the hero we lost was Grond.)

Re: Hero At Large I did a writup for him when I 1st started playing back in 1981.Even did the pic on the character 'silo (& did a pretty good job,even though I did it from memory.got the color of the coustume legs wrong.).I think I ran him twice.

Re: Reviewing Teen Champions (& Ravenswood Academy) Wasn't the Motor City Defenders info & characters reworked from "Bad Medicine For Dr. Drugs".Funny thing is the high school I went to was Warren G. Harding High School,& the map They used in the old "BMFDD" book looked a lot like my Harding High.

Steve, my character in our DC game is supposed to have been born & grew up in HC.He's from Latin City section of town.My GM & I have descussed his background but we're not certain which High School he went to.In HC:UA I'd like to see what schools cover what areas of town.One of the other characters is from Freetown & we don't know if we were rivals in HS. The only other thing is more detailed maps,which I think you said were giong to be in this ed..
