The Honor Guard are based out of Gary Indiana and cover an area between Chicago and Millennium City.

In my spare time I am writing the background for the fictional city of New Cairo, based at the southern tip of Illinois. The great flood of '93 erased the town of Cairo from the map, so Franklin Stone, feeling he missed an opportunity in Millennium City, bought up all the property, used advanced technology to levy out the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, and began founding his own city.

Franklin Stone has also cut a deal with the Government to build a new Stronghold on the Angelo Towhead. This new Stronghold would hold criminals captured in the eastern half of the US while the New Mexico prison will be for those captured in the western half of the country.

New Cairo has an Egyptian feel (used to distinguish the city in its PR), and has a decadent atmosphere. There will be casinos, animal racing, and other "adult-type" entertainments. New Cairo is completely within the clutches of Franklin Stone and so will have a Metropolis/Lex Luthor bent but with many of the darker aspects of Gotham City at the same time.

The Sentinels operate out of the fictional city of Lazarus, whose location is irrelevant (Since the campaign is contained to the massive city and it's surrounding environs). But if you have to put it somewhere, it's on the central california coast.

A city of my own creation, fleshed out over the last 10 years or so: Trinity City, located at the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. I'm currently aiming for a flavor that I call (for lack of a better descriptor) 'superheroic Dark Champions'.

Edit:

(Note to self - read the thread before posting!)

Having seen that I am not the only one to put a city at that location, I can only say that Trinity City's history diverges in the 19th century.

Many years ago in a campaign the majority of Utah got destroyed. All the PCs were killed.

When we started playing again with 5th ED. we invented New Salt Lake City. It's an ultra modern city. Because it's a high profile city in the world, it's prime picking for super viallins. Us player characters are super hero cops.

We actually like to do a lot of fictional cities. Our last Champions game was a Golden Age game set in Comet City, which was loosely modeled on New York, with a touch of Kurt Busiek's "Astro City" thrown in for flavor. Currently, I'm running a Teen-Horror (aka Paranormal-Teen) campaign set in "Usher's Grove" (also the title of the campaign). Usher's Grove is a mid-California suburb based upon Sunnydale from "Buffy", Berkeley, CA (my home town), and Davis, CA (where I went to college).

Our globe-trotting team, MidGuard, is secretly headquartered out of Oslo, Norway. Since we are the "Avengers" of our world, we seldom deal with low-level crime. In 12 years we've only had two adventures in Norway, one of which happened because one of our characters got kidnapped in her secret ID. Most of our adventures take place in Europe, but we've literally been around the world and to every continent except Antarctica. (And I'm sure we'll end up there one of these days.)

Most commonly visited country? Great Britain (4 times).

In my online campaign, which we haven't played in couple of months, the PCs were based out of Chicago. Destroyed One Magnificent Mile with a meteor shower, rebuilt it with superior alloys and such and renamed it the Monument. Team's base was there.

In the table-top campaign I just started with complete newbies, I'm using Millennium City. So I'm anxiously awaiting the book.

Ha! I got one that none of you touched!

My game (we won't be able to get started until next week) takes place in Metro City (Which is based on the places I've lived - Cheyenne Wyoming, Windsor Missouri, and Warrensburg, MO - in addition to what I know about Kansas City (which is conveniently called "The Metro" :D )

My own campgains (infrequent) are based in the fictional city of Los Santos, CA, and I'm starting one on up in Millenium City (Which means I'm eagerly awaiting the book as well) :)

But I've played all over.

Thought about basing one outside the U.S., but really can't pick.

Vanguard was in New Orleans.

Gotham Maintenance was in Gotham City. (Batman's town)

Colonial Bay is on the East Coast in I think Virginia.

Was in a European UN type team, based in Paris I think but we spent most of our time in Germany.

I ran one based in New York, with teleport terminals to Denver, Athens, Cairo, Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle, France, Russia, and El Salvador... (Basically to where they lived)

Most of our games take place in 'a city' which may have a name but generally doesnt really have a specific place.... although there was a superhero baseball minor leage team in Florida.

My Freedom Patrol campaign happens all over the world, but their primary headquarters (waterfront campus) is in Annapolis, MD, with their operations center on Parson's Island in Chesapeake Bay (within superheroic throwing distance of the main hq).

The Seattle Sentinels are in... Seattle.

Freedom, Inc. -- the spinoff of the now defunct Freedom Patrol game (after 10 years, thank G-d!) is based in San Francisco.

I also ran a street level game that took place in Detroit.
