I was trawling through some of the darker corners of the web, when I followed a thread here.

 

It's a quiz that tries to determine what kind of gamer you are. Like any quiz, it relies on honesty, but I liked it. Here's what I ended up with.

The bit about rules being a necessary evil isn't accurate, considering I scored highly on Tactician as well. I'd say that my top 3 are all about equally important to me.

My results make sense based upon what I like. The Dark Champions campaign that I run is gritty street-level with a fully serial storyline.

I got a tie with Method Actor and Storyteller, which set me up with a tie-breaker.

 

It asked me two questions again and I had to decide which one was a better fit.

 

After the tie-breaker I came out with Storyteller.

 

I think that's a "yay" !

looks like it was a tie between Tactician and Storyteller but the tie breaker was between if I would rather like to feel a part of a movie or a novel or would I rather feel smart at the end of a session.

Specialist at 75.

Power Gamer at 58. I expected higher.

Method Actor at 58. I'm amused that it's perfectly even with Power Gamer.

Storyteller at 58. Now I'm even more amused.

Butt-Kicker at 50. I admit, I do like a good fight, but it's not the end-all-be-all.

Casual Gamer at 42. Higher than I expected.

I would have thought myself higher on the Storyteller aspect, but it seems about right overall.

 

I see a lot of Storyteller's and Method Actors in this thread so far ... I wonder if that type of gamer is drawn to the flexibility of Hero, or if Hero brings out that aspect and cements it in gamers that would otherwise lean in another direction.
