Lord Death.  Once he was an angel in heaven, one of the "Vengeance is the Lord" Type...then the fall came.

Spending time in hell was, well hell for him.  Yes the torturing sinners was fun and all, but he still had the nature of an angel, wanting to do good in the world.  Then when one of those cosmic crossover things happened he found himself on earth again...but he had to bind his soul with that of a mortal or he would return to hell.  He found Jane Johnson, 13 years old, coming to grips with herself being bi.

Now the two share one body.  Jane is even more confused than ever, dealing with her sexuality, the fact that at times she literally transforms into a man (something she does not think of herself as) and that the Demon inside of her quite literally likes to rend the flesh off of mortals...

I touched on how I view it as a tool.  As a tool it is basically a multitool (aka craftsman).  It represents a set of tools that are placed together because you can only use one at a time.

Captain Wonderful is able to focus her energy powers into an effective Force Field, the ability to propel herself in unaided flight, and shoot a variety of energy blasts.  However as it is all from her energy powers she must weaken some of her abilities to use multiple abilities.  If she needs one power it is more power than if she is channeling it into other abilities.

    So

So this has come up ALOT with me.  In basic terms, yes I feel most established characters should have a MP.  The mechanic of the MP is I have these abilities I cannot use simultaneously for some reason.  it might be "My bow can only shoot one arrow at a time" or "I need to have my hands free to operate it" or "It's one power so I can only focus it one way at a time".  The F/X is second to the mechanic (which I feel all of them are).  So you start with the F/X then find the mechanic.

As for the VPP v. MP...It is a cost point thing for me, at a certain point you switch to a VPP based on the number of uses you have.  This is a matter of diminishing returns, at some point a lot of options is really not that much more valuable than fewer,

JmOz got a reaction from FenrisUlf in Help with a real Vixen
So my Heroes of San Corona Campaign is getting to the "Rising Action" section of the plot.

The heroes, who have banded together to protect the city after the disappearance of the Fox and his various associates are about to be called on to save one of the former heroes of the city, The Vixen.  Vixen is basically a Nightwing/Phantom Lady mix.  She has trained under the Fox, but assumed the role of Vixen when she was in her 20's.  She uses her intelligence, sex appeal, and fighting skills to take down crime.

Anyways I know she has been kidnapped and experimented on by the big bad (who the heroes are about 50% right on who it is).  Now she has some Fox DNA mixed in with her own, making her a bit of a wild animal (thinking Werewolf ish type creature, but not super natural...well maybe considering the big bad is supernatural in orientation).

What I am asking is for some ideas on what her character sheet should be like... I know, very personal based on the campaign, but ideas never hurt

The Redemption is a fallen angel, one who sided with the lightbringer.  Now she (he, it, really does not have a gender) is attempting to redeem itself by fighting evil in the physical world.  Unfortunately it can only do this by giving it's powers to a mortal temporarily.  It seeks out those who are lost, and assists them, both with physical issues and spiritual.  Often it will bond with someone and  do good while showing the person the way...

The no MP will screw some decent low-power concepts.  i would recommend all MP need at least a global -1/2 and each slot a -1.  Then you can have your trick archer or UT belt character.

True, and if they ever run into STAR in an Oppositional manner they are in serious trouble.  However, a bunch of gang bangers are not big on tactics.  The fights tended to have the heroes doing lightning strikes, the gangers did not even really get a chance...The only reason damage was done was that Dragonfly (think Blue Beetle-Ted Kord) stuck around to try to get some evidence when he knew the government was on it's way.

I really appreciate the comment about my players trust me.  Part of that trust is that I am not "out to get them", but rather a good story.  Gangers are not going to be using SWAT like tactics, or have super level attributes, and any big threat will be warned ahead of time...

Overall I consider the adventure a success.  I really need to write up the blog entry about how it went...
