Re: Fantasy Hero 6E - initial impressions
It has a number of sample magic systems, with very short lists of spells for each. Extensive lists will be in the Hero System Grimoire.
Re: Blowing Up Prootwaddles, or Character Self-Destruction
Anyway, this discussion isn't completely meaningless. I've considered building hardpoints on fighter jets with Summon, and the bombs/missiles as the summoned beings. Naturally, they would be destroyed when they hit their target (like the prootwaddle).
Re: Is this standalone?
I should also note that once you buy the core rules, everything else is optional. You don't need to buy a particular setting to get rules for a particular class, nor buy splatbook after splatbook to get new spells or feats. This, IMHO, makes the Hero System the best gaming value out there.
Re: Fantasy Hero 6E - initial impressions
Let me echo the compliments that Hero is receiving for this, especially regarding the artwork. If 6e got an ENnie honorable mention for the artwork, this should get a nomination.
Re: Rubbernecking
Maybe Clairsentience (all appropriate sight groups), Limited Range (same as Stretching), Linked (to Stretching), Unified Power (Stretching), Lockout, Visible, Can't go through Barriers?
