  3. Re: Some newbie rules questions Either works. I'd probably give the obstacle an OCV and have it make an attack when a character moveed through it. I'd go with 1.5m (which is fairly close to the actual value of 1.414m). My group is actually starting to move away from a grid, and is just setting things out on the table.
  4. Re: Armor Wars The tank might have been using canister - a large fragmentation round designed to be used against infantry. This makes it easier to hit Iron Man, but doesn't do enough damage to get through his armor (not that the tank crew would know that at first). When they load up an anti-armor round, they miss.

  7. Re: Learning the Heroes System Combat hasn't changed, so yes, it does bog down a bit when there are large numbers of combatants. However, the same would be true of any system.

  10. Re: How Much END? I don't think my group has ever played it that way. If a maneuver uses a Power (including STR), then the maneuver costs no END. Maneuvers that do not use a Power (Block, Dodge, etc) cost 1 END.
  11. Re: Sx help: Name that pistol! I think we've all been assuming that this character is using standard ammo, and ignoring alternative loads. Dark Champions lists frangible ammo as adding 2 DC, and comments that many police departments use it because it is less likely to overpenetrate and hit a bystander.

  16. Re: Sx help: Name that pistol! Odd choice. A Colt Double Eagle fits, as does the AMT Javelina (both 10mm). The H&K P-11 also fits the mechanics, but uses an unusual cartridge (7.62x36mm flechette). If I was building a cop, he's probably use a Glock 17L as a primary weapon with a Colt Python for backup.

  19. Re: Look at this and build it (or just suggest stuff) I would think that KB Resistance would be more appropriate. (Many creatures in the HSB have this, and I think the official Size Templates do as well.)
