instead of just updating the original version, I just went ahead and did a whole new version. Changes added ceramic armor plating for heat resistance added an air quality sensor added air tanks and 02 hookups to support firefighters or to provide emergency air for victims added floodlights added a set of small first aid kits, these would be in clearly marked packages with instructions carried aboard. it has enough strength to carry up to 2 persons out and provide them with oxygen, although they would still need some heat protection, with the robots mostly open chassis configuration, theres no enclosed space to carry passengers there is a locker aboar…

Hello everyone, I am new to the system and in the unenviable position of running the game for an entire group of people that are new to the system. I am working on a StarHero game similar to the Foundation series. I am looking at doing my own conversions but this is an impressive task after only reading through FREd only once. Is there anyone out there who has converted anything from Asimov to Hero that I might be able to beg, borrow, or steal with proper credit given?

Hi, I'm new to the forums (and HERO system, admittedly), and I've been parusing the site for a few weeks now. I've been playing Champions for a while, and recently decided to try out a Robotech game using Hero (we grew out of Palladium's Robotech RPG in 8th grade). I saw a few threads about making veritechs, but none were finished. Would it be possible for someone to post their Veritech (and other Robotech stats, like Zentraedi armor)? ANY help is more than welcome. Thanks for any help, I'm looking forward to my time here on the boards.

While working on my Star Hero homebrew universe (well, a small portion thereof), I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed by how much STUFF there is to create. A 20ly by 20ly sector is a beast ... stars, star color, planets, planetary zones, planetary densities, number of moons, astronomical anomalies ... then there's creating races, technology, cultures ... How much of this information is actually necessary, do you think? Past a certain point, detail becomes excessive fluff that players will never remember and it won't matter if they do or don't. I just picked up Bestiary, and haven't gotten a copy of the new Star Hero yet, as funds are tight, and Fantasy got first pick. But as I was flipping through the Bestiary, I noticed the Engine of Destruction, and was wondering whats up with the incredibly weak main gun? In my old SH campaign, I had crew served weapons that did more damage. 10D6 AP, even x4 AP, still deosn't pack much wallop by my book. if a hex of dirt has 0 DEF and 10 BOD and Stone has 5 DEF, 19 BOD, then it'd punch what...3-4 hexes of dirt or maybe 2 hexes of rock per shot. From Alien Wars, page 32: "With practice, a Rigellian can even learn how to "embed" one spoken message inside another -- he seems to speak normally, but uses higher and lower tones pitched only for one person's ears to communicate secretly with that person. (In game terms, this requires a Ventriloquism roll at -4.). This disturbed me a little right from the outset.
