Succor + Continious
In this thread, there is talk about applying Continous to Succor in much the same way as it can be applied to Suppress, so that the dice of Succor are rolled every round withot needing to use an attack action. Is this a legal application of the Continuous advantage?

Reduced END As A Naked Advantage
Hi, Steve. Hope those cordite fumes aren't overwhelming you. This little paradox came up today, and I could use your input to help resolve it: If you buy Reduced Endurance as a Naked Advantage, do you use full END for the NA based on its Active Points?

UMA Question
If a RANGED attack has the disarm element is it assumed to use the converted strength of the ranged attack (IE 10d6 EB would be 50) plus any bonuses or does it use the characters normal strength plus any bonuses?

A weird question
I got into a discusion with another player about this in real life: Can a character take the advantage that allows a power to draw END from an END Reserve or personal END if he does not have an END reserve? The idea is that it will be a basic premice of a magic system that all spells must have the advantage, then there will be spell casting aids that let them store energy.

CSL & Teamwork
Hola Steve, I've been working on a team of characters and I'm curious how I should tackle CSL that represent team training and such. I was thinking something along the lines of: Team Training: +3 OCV with Coordinated Combat (15 Active Points); Requires A Teamwork Roll (-1/2) Should RSR be used here? Or is that implied by the Teamwork skill? Thanks for the help in advance

Equipment
If a character has a Variable Power Pool defined as a Gadget Pool with the Focus limitation, can the character purchase double the number of Gadget Pools for +5 pts? If the character has multiple multipowers bought using the +5 pts doubling rule, can those multipowers be used simultaneously as different powers? For example, one multipower in an attack slot, one in a defensive slot, and one in a movement slot? Can a character use the +5 pts doubling rule with Unbreakable foci?

AoE and Mental Powers
I can't find any rules on how mental powers work with AoE. Do you make an ECV roll and compare it to each target individually? Does the target hex have an ECV?

Regaining STUN After Having It Suppressed
I've looked at the text description of the Power Suppress. I've checked the passage about Adjustment Powers. I've looked at the online FAQ. I've even searched this particular forum. I think I know how the following is supposed to work, but I'll ask here for clarification, since I haven't seen these particular questions directly addressed. I have the Power Suppress, which works against a target's STUN. My chosen target has 30 STUN, 20 CON, and no Power Defense. I manage to Suppress 40 points of the target's STUN. I have seen explanations of how it is possible to Stun the target for CON (and how that is handled) elsewhere. Here are my two questions: 1. The target …

Citizen Keen's Linked Q: Followup?
In C.K.'s question, he puts forth the following power construct: 5d6 EB+3d6 EB, Linked, No Range (linked to the 5 dicer). Now, am I completely misinterpretting the Linked limitation, or wouldn't the target's defenses apply separately to each of those blasts (rather than accumulating)? For example, if the 5d6 blast does 18 STUN, and the 3d6 STUN blast does 12 ... and the target has 15 Defense, wouldn't the results be: (18-15)+(12-15)-15=3 STUN rather than (18+12)-15=15 STUN damage?

Linked versus Compound
Steve- Searched the Boards, the Book, and Acrobat Searched the FAQ, so hope you haven't already answered this... What's the difference between a Compound Power (like EB 5d6, EB +3d6 No Range, as listed in the FAQ) and an EB 5d6 with a Linked EB +3d6 No Range? It seems cheaper to get the Linked Advantage... Just curious.

Continuous Aid - basically useless?
I just read on pg 73 about "maximum effect." I just want to make sure I am understanding this correctly. My character has a 2d6 aid w/ continuous charges (lasting 1 turn each) . So, does this mean that once it has aided con +6 (12 total points), it becomes useless? If so, assuming a 3.5 average per d6, it would be useless to have aid last more than 2 phases, yes? BTW, thanks for being here for your customers, Steve.

TUB and "Must Follow Grab"
In TUB, there are a few Brick Tricks that have the limitation "Must Follow Grab" (ex.: Bearhug p.52). I just want to ask: Does the Brick Trick happen in the same phase as the Grab, instead of "Squeezing" or "Throwing", or does it happen the next phase?

MPA Haymaker
Here is a question that came up during the game session last week, and I was looking for clarification. The character in question had two attacks (an EB and an RKA), and wanted to do a multiple power attack with both, both with a haymaker. We weren't sure if the "two seperate manuevers must be distinct" overrode the "can use two different attack powers" aspect of MPA. Secondarily if the "two powers" takes precedent, do you just take the haymaker penalties, or stack them (which seems fair given the amount of extra damage applied.) Thanks in advance.

MP and Mind-Link
I've looked through the FAQ and think I've found the answer but I want to be sure. I've got a MindLink (psychic bond) in a Multi-power for a character. Am I correct in thinking that when I switch slots the Mind Link is broken?

OCV Levels with Noncombat Movement
The discussion on noncombat movement states that the character's OCV is "always 0." I argue that it says this only in reference to the fact that DCV can change when using noncom movement, if the GM wishes to use the optional velocity-based DCV rules. My friend and co-GM in the campaign (who is also a lawyer, incidentally, Steve) argues that it makes a statement about the intent of noncom movement - namely, that for purposes of concept and balance, OCV in noncombat movement is ALWAYS 0 regardless of other factors. We have both agreed, based on the OCV determination checklist, this matter hinges on whether the 0 OCV of noncom movement qualifies as the character's "base O…

Mental Defense and VPPs
Is Mental Defense forbidden from Variable Power Pools? Hero Designer blocks me from doing so though I did not see this in the rules or the FAQ. In the current situation, an alien race with strange mental powers have invaded Earth and my gadgeteer character would like to create a helmet that he can wear to block their telepathy and ego attacks. If it is not allowed, are defensive ECV levels allowed in a VPP? Perhaps a boost to the EGO characteristic that has a defensive only limitation? Thanks!

? re: cost endurance w/ power in multipower
My telekenetic character has a "TK multipower." In it, he has missile defectlion as follows: Missile Deflection (Any Ranged Attack), +5 to Missile Deflection Roll, Ranged (full range), Cost END (Every Phase) ACTIVE COST: 60 The special effect is that the character is "strengthening the air" with his TK that deflects all ranged attacks. My question is, when I allocate 60 points from my 100 point multipower for this power, but don't ever declare that I'm using it, does it still cost END every phase that I have points allocated to it? Or, does it just cost END when I elect to use it? Thanks, Myst

Resurrection Healing and STUN or "How much STUN does a corpse have?"
If a character with Resurrection Healing is "killed", how is his current STUN determined when his 'Resurrection' kicks in? Is it based on the last STUN value he had prior to/at the moment of death? Is it always zero? Is it determined in some other way? Example: Lazarus the Luckless has base score of BODY:10 and STUN:30 He has Resurrection Healing which takes effect 24 hours after death. Case 1: After an ambush, he is at -8 BODY and 12 STUN when an arrow hits him doing 2 BODY and 6 STUN, killing him. (At the point of death, he had 6 STUN.) Case 2: He is beaten to death by a mob. By the time he bleeds to -10 BODY and dies, he is at -40 STUN. He is …

Knockback Half Phase
Can a character combine his Half Phase 'getting up' from Knockback with a Half Move, or would that consitute a Full Phase? (The example on 5E 281 has Green Dragon Knocked Back 4" from Howler, then getting up and hitting Howler with a Martial Kick. Without moving 4", he'd be out of range.)

Mental Powers v. Mechanon
Is Mechanon treated as Human-class, Alien-class or Machine-class mind? (Or all of these?). The text (Champions p205, 1st para under Powers/Tactics) says that he reacts to mental powers 'just like an organic mind', but it's not clear to me whether that's saying that he's not immune to mental powers like an automaton (but in machine-class as an intelligent machine) or whether it's saying he's supposed to be treated as Human-class (or maybe as Alien-class). As a related question, in a typical champions campaign how much would Physical Lim: treated as multiple classes of mind be worth?
