But it is a very good portrayal of what it is like to be a sapient wild rabbit.

Sure, if that rabbit is on acid and hallucinating fields of blood and flying rabbits of death.

And given that every Easter films about a lingering, hideously painful public execution are virtually mandatory, and people frequently demand that these be shown to their children....

Which raises the question of whether Christians do their children any favors when they try to teach about the Crucifixion and other horrible but important Biblical events (like the Flood) in a sanitized form. Gathering cute animals into an ark is easy to display, ewxcept of course for the fact that 99.9% of the human race is wiped out in the flood. And for Jesus to rise from the dead he first had to die, in a torturous and humiliating manner. As adults Christians have learned that the suffering is one of the most important parts of the Easter story -- in my congregation it is dealt with throughout the year and stated that Jesus taking all ther sins of mankind onto himself and enduring all the pain experienced by billions of people over the course of two millenia is a vital part of the path to salvation. It is stated in talks all the time, with children in the congregation hearing it. The Atonement is so vital to the Christian faith, so how do you convey that without traumatizing an eight-year-old?

In my kids' Sunday school, there is much emphasis on That He Died For Us, and that it probably hurt a lot. They don't go into how it took all day for the poor bastard to die, how the nails shatter bones on the way through, how you asphyxiate if you don't hold yourself up by your nailed feet, or how mankind has dreamt up dozens of even more hideous ways of terminating someone they don't like.

But to be perfectly honest, they water down and cherry pick the bible for the adults too.

I fully expect Congress to hold hearings on this harassment of corporate operations and do everything in their power to halt investigation into the phenomenon and drive the people working on the investigations out of their present line of work.

That is, in fact, what Congress has been doing to anthropogenic climate change efforts and researchers. Senators Cruz (R-TX) and Inhofe (R-OK) and Congressman Lamar Smith (R-TX) are presently engaged in just such measures, to name three individuals I have read about in the last couple of months.

Cats and dogs live together in millions of households in the United States alone, so the end times have been upon us for decades. In a way, the end times have always been upon us -- the climactic battle just keeps getting delayed again and again.

You know the link's about Windows 10 bundling Linux, and not actual cats and dogs, right? :D

Does Scarlett Johansson have a say in the matter? What rights an individual has to their image -- especially when their image is an essential part of how they earn their living -- is one of the most vital questions advances in technology for both robotics and VR/CGI are forcing Intellectual Property law to address. What if this were a "sexbot"? What if a virtual Scarlett were being used for CGI pornography? What is someone were to make a mopvie that Scarlett did not want to participate in, but the producers inserted a CGI version of her anyway?

And what does the potential of CGI duplicates of current, former, or deceased stars mean for younger people trying to build their own acting careers? Do you think Disney would be bothering with their massive casting call for a young Han Solo if they could create a young version of Harrison Ford to do the job?

Google "Ellen Page sues" and see what she has to say about this practice (not once but twice).

My beautiful, yet deadly bodyguards do not just make themselves.

Ahem. About this "making" new sexy, deadly bodyguards.

Because I've heard stuff about how this is done, and seen some instructional videos, and would like links to further my Internet education. (Preferably involving colostomy bags.)

What?

The Journal reports that Wells Fargo's appeal in their suit for overcharging customers was denied. instead of paying the use of money as it was used, they caused overdrafts so they could collect the overdraft fees. The judges seemed less than impressed by their reasoning for why and how they were doing this to their people.
