They're not letting Wil Wheaton steer are they?

From what I heard, nobody was steering. Wesley Crusher (or Wil Wheaton) would have been an improvement.

Continuing this derailment, as it's of no concern to me who (whom?) Cassandra thinks we're being to hard on, or not.

Checking Wikipedia, the USS Fitzgerald had no lookouts posted and didn't notice the approach of the container ship until five minutes before impact, then panicked.  Conversely, the USS McCain attempted to switch helm control between stations and completely botched it, completely losing control of the ship for three minutes in a crowded sea lane.

I was on the main casino floor one day, when a power chair went by. There was a plank between the footrests, and a chihuahua was riding it as if it was the figurehead on a ship's prow. Since we technically only allow service animals in the building, I've often wondered if it was acting as some kind of navigator for the chair.

A different time, I saw a mobility scooter whip by at high speed, and then another came around the corner and tried to pass it. All I could think of was Mario Cart.

If my dad ever ends up with one of those, I'm sure he'll be big on speeding.

Note: Me too, given what my mother has told me about when I was a baby using those baby walkers.  (AKA, flying down the hall, bouncing off furniture, etc).

Ok, make that 2 hells.  Don't you realize this forum is hell.

When I was very young, my parents and I traveled around the US in a Volkswagen camper. We had spent about 2 weeks making our way through Texas, when one of the locals mentioned to my Mom, "When you die, you can either go to Texas, or to hell."

After a moment's pause, my Mom replied, "Well, I've already seen Texas."

I never made it past the pilot, which was pure embarrassment comedy in the style of "Three's Company". Oh, I've been told to skip it and start somewhere else in the series, but each time I tried, I got the same vibe--that it was written by former "cool kids" from high school about how they thought nerds would behave in private, but it's okay because some of their best friends are smart.
