  1. Should a millipede pay more for Extra Limbs than a centipede? Should either need it at all? Insects have six legs. Arachnids have eight. Do either of them need Extra Limbs?
  2. They do fit well in Putin's Russia, don't they? Ostensibly criminals (and therefore not sanctioned by the government), but they always seem to be targeting Putin's enemies, and they are never prosecuted.
  3. Clinging Darkness is effective in a solo build, but it also affects your teammates.
  4. The KA is to provide a mechanical reason for characters (well, players of characters) that would be immune to the EDM to take the attack seriously. Many (if not all) of the PCs would have Combat Luck. If the KA wasn't there, the, "Killing Curse" would be a joke. The palindromedary tagline is to authenticate that a post is by Lucius Alexander.
  5. It is a way to kill characters that does not rely on the game's damage resolution mechanics. A character hit by it is effectively, "dead" (by the way the setting works), even if they would survive the damage from the KA portion.
  6. Transform is explicitly prohibited from this. EDM, Usable As Attack (Target moves to afterlife dimension) would simulate the power quite well. However, it is also completely unbalanced. EDIT: I thought of this build after going to bed. The auto-kill portion won't work on anyone with Combat Luck unless they are deliberately taking the shot. However, the KA will still severely injure, or possibly kill them if they are hit. Killing Curse: (Total: 110 Active Cost, 74 Real Cost) Extra-Dimensional Movement (Single Dimension (afterlife, does not work on targets with dimensional movement or applicable luck-based defenses)), Ranged (+1/2), Usable As Attack (+1 1/4) (55 Active Points); Linked (Lethal Damage; -1/2) (Real Cost: 37) plus Killing Attack - Ranged 3 1/2d6 (55 Active Points); Linked (Transport target to afterlife; -1/2) (Real Cost: 37)
  7. Damage Negation is explicitly allowed against Mental damage, and Drains that target STUN or BODY. It has no effect on Mental powers that do not cause damage (such as the mental entangle that started this thread), or Drains that target other characteristics.
  8. The last FH game I ran, I ruled that, "real armor," "luck-based," and, "magic" did not stack with each other.
  9. Build the AI. Build the car. Say that the AI is in the car. It's that straightforward.
  10. It's hilarious when a mole in a friendly agency relays the hero's opinions back to VIPER R&D.
  11. Some of the SFX in The Ultimate Energy Projector might have had a negative adder, but I don't have a handy copy to check.
  12. ...you're getting ready for bed, you take your polar-tec sweatshirt off, and the static discharge zaps your nipple.
  13. Aren't Hunteds worth more if the character is easy to find?
  14. 6 points is arguable, but (IMHO) incorrect. 8 points is ridiculous unless you think that STR should cost 2, which is ridiculous for different reasons. Consider that Extra DC is functionally equivalent to STR, 0 END, Only for martial maneuvers. What is the last bit worth? If one thinks it's -1/4 or -1/2, than charging 6 points for a DC is reasonable. If it's more than that, than the current 4-point cost is correct.
  15. I'd love to be playing any 4+ version (with a slight preference for 6e), but I'm idle.
  16. If you need a temporary email address you can use Guerrilla Mail.
  17. Spoiler tags are [ SPOILER ] and [ /SPOILER ].
  18. Interrogation should cover whether the subject is answering truthfully, so using it to detect lies in more general cases makes sense. (It would also give the skill a more heroic use than perp sweating.)
  19. Just because you're the smartest person in the room doesn't make everyone else an idiot.
