Colored bacteria are attracted to various level of heat. This makes an AWESOME computer desktop/wallpaper; no matter where you're standing in the room, it keeps staring right at you. I heard that the gun she's packing is the actual prop Mal wore in Firefly & Serenity. She apparently conspired with Nathan Fillion's mother to sneak it out so she could surprise Nathan with the costume. Also, there is a scene in Castle where Rick dresses up as a "space cowboy" for Halloween, and Alexis says, "Didn't you wear that five years ago?" to which he responds, "Yeah, and it was great!"
