death tribble
No, I recall seeing both threads. The original one was created by Von D-Man and called Broaden Your Horizons while In Other News was created later by I believe by tkdguy

Cygnia
Back in 1986, I won my local science fair with a project on how carbon dioxide affected the atmosphere, including global warming. And things have only gotten worse since then (save maybe the hole in the ozone layer) Old Man

The movies are doing extremely well, but the comics have gone in a different direction than the movies, and have seen sales plummet. On that front I can't call Quesada's tenure a "creative" period, and I'm not sorry to see him go.

unclevlad
Ugh. It is early June, 2 weeks until solstice, so it's not surprising, but the upcoming stretch is gonna be brutal. 103, 104, 100, 104, 105, 106, 104, 104, 105, 102, 102, 100. Counting yesterday, if those are right...12 days in a row of triple digits.... And 105 is...not close to the all-time record, but by and large, it's about the highest we typically get. Anything over that is very unusual, in my experience. Which means, at least we're nowhere near as bad as Tucson or Phoenix.
Cancer
Heh. Here in Seattle we haven't broken 80 F yet, and have made 70 F only a handful of days. It has been a cool, wet year so far here.
