Not So Fast http://www.cinemablend.com/news/1649930/is-scott-derrickson-directing-doctor-strange-2-not-so-fast Feige made it crystal clear that the current slate of Marvel Phase Four films only has two films on it, and Doctor Strange 2 isn't one of them. Bazza
Exclusive: Adam Warlock Was Originally a Major Character in ‘Guardians Vol. 2’; Will Be in ‘Guardians 3’ http://www.slashfilm.com/adam-warlock-guardians-of-the-galaxy/ James Gunn “I love Adam Warlock. He’s one of my favorite characters. In all truth, I wrote an early treatment where I had Adam Warlock as a part…this is your big scoop, because I don’t think I’ve told anybody this… It was Adam Warlock. He was a big part of the screenplay and I realized it was one character too many. And I adored the character. I adored what we had done with him. I think we did something really creative and unique with Adam Warlock. But it was one character too many and I didn’t want to lose Mantis and Mantis was more organically part of the movie anyway. So I decided to save him for later.”

Michael Rosenbaum Teases His “Important” Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Role http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/michael-rosenbaum-teases-important-guardians-galaxy-vol-2-role/ Michael Rosenbaum “Well, I’m in the movie. And I can’t really say the role I’m playing ’cause James [Gunn] swore me to secrecy. It’s with Stallone. Several Major Cameos Were Just Confirmed For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2017/04/several-major-cameos-were-just-confirmed-for-guardians-of-the-galaxy-vol-2/ Near the end of the movie, new characters played by Ving Rhames and Michelle Yeoh appear. The credits (as well as James Gunn at the press conference) confirm they play Charlie-27 and Aleta Ogord, two ravager leaders in the film...they meet up with Stakar, played by Sylvester Stallone, and two other aliens: Krugar and Mainframe. Exclusive: Miley Cyrus Joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe http://sarahscoop.com/miley-cyrus-joins-the-marvel-cinematic-universe/ Miley Cyrus has a cameo in the film as Mainframe Comment: It seems obvious now the original Guardians of the Galaxy are being teased here and coming fully in GotG Vol 3.. My guess is that Michael Rosenbaum is Vance Astro. It's the only major character from that team whose actor is not yet revealed. Not big on the Guardians 3K being tied to the Ravagers. And Krugar, do they mean this character? http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Krugarr_(Earth-691) Guess I'll have to wait 3 days to find out. Yes it is true, Miley Cyrus has a cameo in the film as Mainframe. Dancing can save the galaxy. Can twerking be far behind?
Bazza
Kevin Feige Says the Post-‘Avengers 4’ MCU May Be a “New Thing”, Not “Phase 4″http://collider.com/marvel-phase-4-movies-kevin-feige/ Kevin Feige “We’ve been lucky that [contract expirations] haven’t factored in too much. We’ve had people under contract for certain films, then we’ve had new ideas and new directions like Civil War like we wanted to do, and we’ve been lucky enough to make new contracts. Or Spider-Man: Homecoming, the cast has been awesome in their enthusiasm for the direction and the storylines that we’ve been telling. So it really does, right now, all start with where we wanna take the stories. Certainly as we get to Infinity War there is a sense of a climax if not a conclusion to, by the time we’re at untitled Avengers 4, the 22 movies that will have encompassed the first three phases of the MCU. And what happens after that will be very different. I don’t know if it’s Phase 4, it might be a new thing.” “We have an idea [of what the MCU looks like post-Infinity War], and it’s gonna be very, very different.”

Tjack
All the domestic abuse stuff is deftly avoided in the MCU by making Steve Lang the Ant Man, and relegating Hank Pym to the role of charming father instead of abusive husband. In the Ant-Man film Hank briefly mentions that not having the proper shielding in the helmet affected his brain chemistry. This gives the MCU an out about any audience perceived behavior. I always thought the comic character Hank Pym took a bad rap for what was a screw-up by the Marvel staff. The writer of the issue in question wanted a panel where in a fit of rage Hank turns abruptly and accidentally pushes Jan backwards a few feet. A miscommunication to the artist led to a panel where he instead backhands her to the floor. The writer didn't see the change until the book was on the stands and to late to fix. From Silver Age hero to wife beater in one move. I agree that the character can never be forgiven by the public and those actions in the real world must never be ignored but to have this not as a planned move of the editorial staff but from a mistake in a memo will always bother me. bigdamnhero
I always thought the comic character Hank Pym took a bad rap for what was a screw-up by the Marvel staff. True enough. But I gotta hand it to Marvel for saying "OK, so this happened, may as well run with it." Not a decision they ever would've made deliberately, but I like that they took it as an opening to make the character more complex and tell stories they would've have been able to before, rather than just blowing it off or pretending it never happened. Christopher R Taylor
I liked what they did to Hank Pym from a storytelling perspective, he was kind of extraneous in the Avengers, he didn't fill any important role, his powers were duplicated by Wasp, and he was boring. But making him into a mentally unstable jerk who eventually went really wrong was interesting and made him stand out. Without that awful sequence of events Hank Pym would be in the same category as, I dunno, The Swordsman or Doctor Druid or any of a dozen forgettable nonentities that were in the Avengers over the decades. drunkonduty
Gotta say I like the look of the Cloak & Dagger trailer. But then I like a bit of teen wangst disguised as something else. For example: I'm really enjoying Riverdale at the moment. :-)

zslane
Well, Pierce may have been Hydra, along with some Senators and such, but something as big as Project Insight doesn't succeed purely on the actions of some well-placed double agents. It takes a whole network of government agencies and civilian contractors, along with engineers, accountants, project managers, lawyers, etc., most of whom weren't Hydra (they were just ordinary citizens and civil servants). AFAIC, Cap wasn't just fighting Hydra, he was fighting a society and a government that was pretty okay with Project Insight and what it aimed to accomplish.
