Cancer Posted June 30, 2020 Report Share Posted June 30, 2020 I've been up to British Columbia eight or ten times in the last 28 years (since I've been married); otherwise my only trip outside the US in that time was our honeymoon to Rarotonga. Now, I lived in Germany back in the 1960s and early 1970s, but I don't know if I want to go visit or not ... the "You can't go home again" thing looms large for me here. With the possible exception of a deep-sea fishing trip from Prince Rupert, I don't think I've ever been off the North American Plate. Lady P has been to Europe a couple of times, once on a study abroad program in London and once on a three-week backpacking trip. We hit every state in the continental US, as well as Canada and Mexico. I just need Alaska and Hawaii to complete the whole set. One of my jobs in 2008 was for a company based in Calgary, Alberta, and I traveled there for 3 visits, paid for by the company. The previous company had its main office in Wellington, New Zealand, and that company paid for a 2 week stay for training. I'd love to go back, but that's unlikely.
