The following is really only going to apply to a relatively small number of people, but it's still good information to have out there. I wanted to take a quick moment to run through some of the changes to the warning system that came through with the recent update to the site. Before I get into the specifics of how they work, a quick comment on when warnings are handed out: The moderators on this site (myself included) will hand out a warning when a post is viewed to have crossed "the line". For folks wondering exactly where that line is so that you can tread close to it but not cross it, don't. Just don't. If you try to tread close to the line…

I think that the site upgrade is more or less complete at this point. There are still a number of background tasks to complete -- some manual, some automated. The manual tasks include updating shipping methods for the store and verifying that everything is functioning normally. This should be done before the end of the day. The automated background tasks are going to be running for the next few days and may result in some slowness. A few features on the site will not be available until the background tasks complete (some searching, etc.). Other than that, look around, have fun, play nice, and let us know if anything looks odd/out of place.

It seems I bought TTP Champions Organizations 2: League of Champuons twice and didn't receive my PDF download indication press this link to download thing. This doesn't sound normal to me. Any help?

As per the title why is this forum so stingy with the upvote per day amount. Some days I want to upvote 10 posts, another day 0. Why should it be limited? I can only upvote each post once anyways. The Dream Pod 9 forums uses the same interface/forum software as the HERO forum, so maybe it's an odd/default setting for this forum software? If so could it please be change.

Why is the forum background now (as in, up to a day ago) blindingly white? My only recourse is to use a Firefox add-on called "Dark Reader".

So, maybe I'm just confused, but since the updates to the site, I can no longer see any "likes" or "laughing" or "thanks" on any posts. I can still GIVE likes, and I get notified if someone reacts to a post, but I can't see any reactions on my posts. Is it just me, or do I have a weird setting now that I need to change? Thanks!

Is there any way for Hero to offer a torrent of the backed-up forums (minus all the Off-Topic stuff), or a standard solution for us to do the archiving ourselves that works with this forums software? The "purge" statement says that old threads will be deleted: that's 14 years of posts, pretty much the entire modern history of the game. All those rules discussions, character builds, official rulings, etc being lost would be a terrible blow to the system and its fans, IMHO.

I’ve noticed that forum activity seems to have dropped a lot recently. It used to be that there were new postings appearing pretty regularly across multiple forums, but not so much recently. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just imagining it?

Hello, I was wondering if I could get some help with my password for this site. When I originally set up my account, I linked it to my Verizon email. Well several years later and I want to change where my password would go to (I use gmail) and I can’t remember how to access my Verizon account nor does my wife. I was wondering if it would be possible for a moderator to change it to my gmail account? Thanks in advance.

It looks like maybe these went away somewhere along the line, although I see that @Spence apparently re-added the Converting Characters document several years ago. I still have the others (Animals, Combat Example, Example Characters from Other Genres, and Talent Creation). Is there any interest in adding these back?

Does not mater IE or Chrome, can add 1 item to cart only and if i try to even purchase all i want 1 item at a time will not work either shows 0 Items in Cart.

Is it possible to add an option in the user preferences for turning off the annoying confirmation dialogs that pop up every time I click on either "Mark forum read" or "Mark site read"? I don't ever click on those by accident and so I don't need to be asked if I really, really mean it every time. An option to turn this irritating behavior off would be very welcome.

okay, so I'm considering on starting a new club. I don't have 6th edition (and let's face it, it doesn't have many supplements) But. What I do have is mostly 5th edition or before. I am missing some of the first (1-3) edition. But have a ton of 4th. But I am curious, how much work is involved in maintaining a club? Is it worth the effort?

Hello! I am curious if there are plans to migrate the site and forum completely to HTTPS instead of defaulting to HTTP. Currently, even if I manually enter https:// for the URI, it will reset back to HTTP once I click a navigation link or a thread in the forum. This is how sites are going overall (last year over 50% of sites began to use HTTPS), so that's one reason I ask.

Hello! I played Champions about 30 years ago and looking to return to the HERO system. I just ordered the "Champions Begins" PDF for free from the store. So how do I access the PDF now? I don't see an email confirming the order with a link. My cart shows I ordered it, so where did it go?
