Sociotard
Worth reading: the Quora answers to Why didn't attorney-client privilege prevent the FBI raid on Michael D. Cohen? It also explained where the terms "scrubbing the taint" and "taint team" came from. Either Sandra Day O'Conner is very clean or very dirty. Lord Liaden
You know, normally I have no interest in "tell-all" books. But whenever and however the Trump administration ends, and whichever White House insider first writes one, I'll be lining up to buy it the day it goes on sale. Old Man
Michael Cohen, Trump's consigliere lawyer, in today's hearing was forced by the judge to reveal the name of his third client... Sean Hannity. Who has been using his position at Fox News to discredit the raid on Cohen's offices for a week. Any reputable news source would fire a journalist with such a naked conflict of interest. At this point you have to wonder just how far the GOP-Russia-Fox "arrangement" extends. Hannity promptly responded to the announcement by denying that Cohen was formally his lawyer, thus endangering any attorney-client privilege he might have enjoyed. Sociotard
This bit from David Brin is my new favorite conspiracy theory: http://davidbrin.blogspot.com/2018/04/why-this-war-is-different-plus-dark-z.html EDIT: In the interest of playing by the "only facts" rule, I removed the quote. The link is a conspiracy theory that Russia may have gained intelligence from the recent US missile attack on Syria, in that it gave them the opportunity to test countermeasures, collect debris, and so forth. This is only a conspiracy theory. ANY military action gives our rivals the opportunity to gain that kind of intel, and the gas attack was a reasonable provocation for a missile attack. Even if Putin wanted this chance, it doesn't require him to have any leverage over Trump. He just had to wait for the right opportunity. Sociotard
11 House Republicans pen letter asking Attorney General to investigate political enemies (Mostly Hillary Clinton) https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/4/18/17252290/desantis-letter-prosecute-clinton-comey I do not expect the letter to net any results. Watchman Mk. IV
Actually, not mostly Hillary. Two sentences that amount to a complete fabrication and distortion of the facts. Comey appears to be the current scapegoat more than anyone else. It's almost like they included her because they thought they had to. Check out the list of Pubbies who submitted this. Sociotard
My impression was that the list was Hillary and people who didn't rail hard enough on Hillary. For me, that makes the list all about her.

Lord Liaden
It's pure distraction. Trying to shift the attention on to Hillary Clinton's shenanigans and away from Trump's. Create some sort of mock equivalency, as if her not being investigated means he shouldn't be investigated. 56 minutes ago, Old Man said: Honestly, I'd just as soon the GOP and Trump spent their whole terms golfing.
