Coronavirus

In a move that angered a few political leaders here, our Governor ordered state institutions to follow President Biden's lead and fly the flag at half staff in memoriam of the million or so Americans who have died, many of them unnecessarily, from this plague.

From NYT, lead paragraph:

Quote

As the coronavirus morphs into a stubborn and unpredictable facet of everyday life, scientists and federal health officials are converging on a new strategy for immunizing Americans: a vaccination campaign this fall, perhaps with doses that are finely tuned to combat the version of the virus expected to be in circulation.

This is the end game I've been figuring for a good year.

What'll you do when you get fever,
And nobody's waiting by your side?
You've been coughing and aching much too long,
You know it's just your foolish pride

Covid - you've got me on my knees
Covid - I'm begging, vax me please
Covid - Moderna won't you ease my pounding head

Got my 2nd booster this past Monday, arm was much more sore than the other 3 shots I've received but nothing else.

My experience was the same.  For a day, I didn't want to lift that arm even to shoulder height, much less higher.  I could, but I definitely felt it.  Stayed sore for a couple days beyond that, but it wasn't inhibiting in any meaningful way.

Is lung capacity that diminishes seemingly overnight one of the symptoms of COVID-19?

I'm not sure if it is or not. But if that is something that you or someone you know is experiencing, you/they should probably go get checked out anyway.
