    There have been some real world deaths in recent months involving political party members that I plan to use in my campaign world to add "Reality" to the game, and hopefully get some - "How did you come up with THAT"? comments from the players...

    I too was curious about the speed chart and as far back as 1987, the speed 1 character moved on segment 7. In all honesty I've been playing Champions for... Decades.. (Imagine that) and have never had a speed 1 character... So I would house rule that should such a creature exist it would get to move on Segment 12 as "Combat Begins" and then move to Segment 7 as that comes up... Presuming their still conscious/alive at that point.

    In the Villain Codex Vol 1 there is a character called Jinx, she has luck based powers, that save her from imminent danger, and even from people trying to interfere with her. Course they also affect people she wants to get involved with from getting too close too... The Codex is available in the store!

    Marvel Comics did this in an X-men spinoff - I think it was Alpha Flight. Where a villain called Flashback could bring duplicates of himself from the future. One of them died and he fell apart cause he didn't know how far in the future his self died, he just knew he was going to die sometime soon... Interesting concept for sure!!! I loved your write up Duke Bushido, it was scary and exciting!!

    I'm thinking that if Jordan had lived the series would have gone longer, Sanderson dealt with some long time storyline "issues" in a couple paragraphs...

    One game I ran ages ago started off with the players as themselves, I gave them fairly competent stats seeing as we think we're better than we are, so for example I know Tai Chi so I gave my character martial arts. Back when MA was not a bunch of maneuvers per se. The players got to pick their strengths and would discuss what their "weaknesses" were and that was our starting group. It was a modern fantasy setting, as the age of technology turned over to magic... again...

    Just finished book 13 in the Wheel of Time "Towers of Midnight" by Jordan and Sanderson. Epic story, I was worried after Jordan died that it wouldn't feel the same, but I believe that Sanderson has done justice to the story and characters! One more to go in the series...

    Why not a Spatial Awareness power? HM might have a Daredevil homage you can look at for inspiration. Spatial Awareness The character may sense his surrounds without having any contact with them. It can simulate a wide variety of senses from "mystical awareness" to passive sonar to molecular analysis.

    To add to Massey's thought... Buy your Electrical Bolt with Variable advantage, so you can change how it works within the parameters your GM gives.

    I have played Champions for years, with the odd hiatus, and am back in again. My world is a Superheroes game but the characters are still "normals" and I'm moving them slowly towards the powers based. In our next game they are running agents level guys with equipment, that I paid points for cause that helps me to "balance" the play level, I like how it turned out and will likely stick with that format in the future...

    Has anyone ever had a player take Stroke as a complication? I can't find it in the list so was wondering what it might be worth. I figure it should be between 10-25 points...

    I would start with a drain vs Endurance. Freezing the blood could be a NND Killing attack. Limited Mind Control where you control the synapses of the brain...

    One of the first times I used the Wayback Machine the date in the upper Right side was a current date. I had to change the date to a year of 2009 for the info to show up. The links by LL have the 2009 April to Oct range.

    I had a Stretching character named Recoil. I think there is a CU version too, but my guy looked cooler... Was an Elongated Man ripoff...
