  1. I am apparently one of the 8 people the company absolutely needs to come in, so I'm still working. My schedule is now 4x8 instead of 4x10, so I'm catching up on sleep.
  2. Apparently my physical presence is required to is required for my employer to maintain operations. It's only 32 hours/week, but it's something.
  3. Hillary was so unpopular that she got three million more votes than Trump. Trump's margin of, "victory" in many states was demonstrably less than than the number of Democratic votes suppressed by Republican tactics. Why do you keep trying to deflect from this?
  4. Wizard, with a couple of levels in ranger and artificer.
  5. Ebola is only transmissible through bodily fluids, primarily blood, feces, and vomit. I don't think Obama was in any danger.
  6. Socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for everyone else.
  7. Continuing with sports, the Australian Grand Prix (F1) has been canceled, and Super Sebring weekend (Sebring 1000, Sebring 12-hour) has been postponed until November. (IMSA did not act on my suggestion to livestream it, but they did seem to take it seriously and events have overtaken it anyway.)
  8. Some of you may be wondering how a lever gun might stack up against more modern weapons. Karl from InRange competed in Desert Brutality 2020 using the, "New West" combination of a Winchester lever gun (replica) and M1911 pistol. (He also cosplayed the era.)
  9. I have a character that would like to make one other person immune to one of his powers (Darkness, in this case). My preferred method is to to buy Personal Immunity as a Naked Advantage, Usable Simultaneously by one other person. Several questions have arisen. Will this do what I think it should? If the immunity is bought through a Focus, does the character need to pay 5 points for a second copy of the Focus? If the character pays 5 points for a duplicate Focus, does he need to buy it as Usable By Others? (Assume it will be routinely shared.) (The power build that generated these questions is in the, "Blocking Transmissions One Way" thread in the Champions forum, if you're curious.)
  10. They are fairly light, specifically so they can be drawn over.
  11. The SFX is that there are two sets of goggles. I do see the point you're trying to make, but, "Usable By Others" and, "Five-point doubling" are performing the same function. The character shouldn't have to pay extra for an ability simply because it happens to be modeled with a Focus.
  12. I thought about basing the range on STR, but the SFX is that it starts to spray glitter particles as soon as he activates it, so the cloud starts with him and ends where it lands (at the end of the line). (There was a note that didn't get copied into the original post.I've corrected it.) I also thought about buying a duplicate Focus, and decided it wasn't necessary. Why should I have to buy an Adder to use what I'm already paying points for?
  13. Making them immune to someone else's Darkness is the point (hence, UBO on Personal Immunity). Perhaps an example will clarify things. Glitterbomb: Darkness to Sight Group 8m radius (40 Active Points); No Range (-1/2), OIF (-1/2), 6 Continuing Charges lasting 1 Minute each (-0) (40 AP, 20 real) (Note: AoE is not an 8m radius, but a 4mx16m line.) Glitterblock Goggles: Personal Immunity (+1/4) for up to 40 Active Points of Glitterbombs, Usable Simultaneously (up to 2 people at once; +1/4), Grantor must grant power one Recipient at a time., Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (17 Active Points); IIF (They look like a pair of chunky, not particularly stylish sunglasses.; -1/4) (17 AP, 14 real)
  14. Darkness, with Personal Immunity bought as a Naked Advantage so you can buy it Usable By Others.
  15. Package Deals have been renamed, "Templates." There are no longer bonuses for taking them, but they are otherwise identical.
  16. There were also shotguns that had a revolving cylinder, but they were uncommon.
  17. One of my settings explained this rather neatly. Humans were the ancestors of both elves and orcs, so were interfertile with both. However, the offspring would not breed true, and would revert to humans or orcs within a generation or two. (Half-elves would only revert to human.)
  18. IMHO, Ranged Martial Arts are for when the character can't simply buy a bigger attack but needs a little extra damage to be competitive.
  19. I believe that code was written by a third party (can't remember who) with a minimal amount of assistance from Simon. It's breaking now because of changes to the framework it was written in. Unless that third party steps up and updates his code, the most practical thing is for the feature to be removed.
  20. I think the modifier you're looking for is Instant. The character would have to decide, before the attack roll is made, if they wanted to use the defense or not. If they use it, they get the defense against that particular attack.
  21. I would use Images. The powers that appear to come from the images would be bought with Indirect.
  22. Some of the magic systems in Fantasy Hero modify spell costs in some way. Lex Magisterium uses a divisor.
  23. I remember a similar topic coming up in the Fantasy Hero forum, but I can't find the thread. The character in question could teleport to his sword, or teleport the sword to him. I modeled teleporting to the sword asTeleport, to a fixed location, with a Limitation based on the fact that the character couldn't control the location, or the location would be where the character already was. "Teleporting the sword to the character" was handled by not simply buying the sword as a Focus. If the object in question isn't built as a power in its own right (like a pouch, or some other mundane object), it gets much more complicated.
  24. Your character can use the maneuvers with any attack defined as a bow. It can be the character's Multipower, a bow taken off a villain, or something from the sporting goods section of Walmart. As long as the player and GM agree that it's a bow, the character can use the maneuvers.
