Okay, I found the same video posted by someone else, and edited the link, so it should work now. YouTube: The Internet Video Hydra. Cut off one Video and two grow back in it's place. aylwin13
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Wow. I like this one a lot. Someone upthread commented that you really shine on your power armor pics. I'd have to agree with them. You do great power suits. The helmet has an alien/villain feel to it. Good stuff. Legatus
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Since his pose seems to be some type of running we could call him Skywalker. IIRC there was once a Skywalker in a powersuit, wasn't there? Hmm...not sure:D

Storn
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Hey Storn' date=' who was the blue power armor for? Or do you not say any more?[/quote'] I really hate using names over such a public space as most forums. I do so many of these, it is really tough to keep track of screen name/ real name/ character name as well. And I even kinda not like giving out the codenames of superhero commissions, but I have to name the file something. After all, it is not my creativity that came up with that particular name, but the patrons... However, I love it when my patrons come forward and say "oh, this commission is for my game X, and the character is PC (or NPC) Y." Then I feel like it is your choice. And you get the "press" for your part of the creation. I'm not a fine artist. I'm an illustrator. I illustrate other folk's ideas... and I want them to get the credit IF they are comfortable with it and on their terms. Make sense? p.s. and I'm lazy sometimes when writing the commission blurb as usually the next one is on my mind.
Storn
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. I've been very busy with my personal life (not even in my hometown at the mo') and sicker than a dog with the flu. But I have managed to get some artwork done in sporadic spurts. First up is a "were"-agent. For a friend of Death Tribble's. And then a couple of superheroes.... one sorta Sandman like, one sorta like Silver Surfer in the notes from the patron. If you have commissioned something from me, and haven't seen it yet. Please email me at Storn.Cook@gmail.com. I've had a computer problems, that have influenced my mail situation...requiring me to have tons and tons of emails to sift through. My schedule is clearing up in March, for those interested in commissions themselves. The Arc
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Why does the drawing of the were-cop make me think of Puck. "Excuse me m'am. Rapier
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Wow. There is just something about the mud/earth that is...awesome. It looks so very...real. Was there a particular technique that gives it that shade/colour/texture? His shirt also seems rather vibrant. Extremely well done.

It was a combo of me using multiplying browns on top of a bit of Filtering in Photoshop [Noise -> Plaster -> lower opacity of layer -> duplicated the layer just to punch it a bit more, lowered opacity] Or something like that... I was playing around. Not quite sure what I did. But glad you like the texture!
death tribble
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. The Werewolf cop was a thank you to Elric on the Mutants board who got me some Celtic Bolt art that I was missing.

Pattern Ghost
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Someone find Pattern Ghost and tell him that his picture is up. This was the one that came through the Year 4 from conception to final art this year. And yes the description does leave a lot of leeway. And it looks good. That is the first of five drawings I have on commission with Storn with another one due up soon. Ahhh! I'm a little slow. I have actually visited the thread and seen later pics, but totally missed this, somehow. (Probably skipped ahead on accident.) Anyway: Looks great! As to the description, I suppose my entry was a little vague, but the end result did end up matching my mental image pretty closely, down to the hair style. I'd pictured more of a five pointed star, but that's probably the only point where the final product is "off" from my intent, so it worked out great. Thanks to both death tribble and Storn for the pic! Well done!
Storn
Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Here are couple of more commissions. The first is based on someone real, Virginia Dare...although the campaign has supernatural powers and the like ala Solomon Kane... and speaking of which, not intentional, but the 2nd one reminds me a bit of Solomon Kane if the dude was 20s and well-adjusted.... which Howard's Kane is definitely not well-adjusted. Anyway, hope y'all get a kick.
