L. Marcus
We saw it last night. Quite awesome. I felt my bottom lip tremble once, and there were some desultory sniffling around the auditorium a couple of times. RDU Neil

Lord Liaden
I was just thinking that prior to the MCU, most of the heroes in these movies were very obscure as far as the general public was concerned. Most people had at least heard of Spider-Man, Wolverine, and to a lesser extent Hulk, but outside of comics readers the others were unknown. Now they're worldwide icons. Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow -- Black Widow -- have become legends and role models that will be known and loved for decades to come. Ternaugh
18 minutes ago, Bazza said: I still have not seen Avatar. Am I missing anything? Not really. The best parts were how it handled the 3D cinematography, which was very carefully done with stereo cameras and long cuts to allow the viewer's eyes to adjust properly. The underlying story's just so-so, and it's often compared to either Ferngully: The Last Rainforest or Disney's Pocahontas. Most 3D releases nowadays aren't shot with stereo camera rigs, but instead go through a 2D to 3D computerized conversion process, with varying levels of success. Starlord
Everything rips off everything else. That's nothing new. Haven't a clue how it ended up with the top all-time box office spot. I thought it was a decent sci-fi action story. Sigourney Weaver's supporting performance was a highlight along with its immersive, cutting edge CGI. Bazza
MCU just got its own multiverse. Wow. That is big. Also seems plausible how Marvel Studios will integrate X-Men & Fantastic Four into the MCU.
