Teen Champions - Meyerson Academy - Make a Character and Play Do you have any friends, spouses, children, or friends of your children who should learn how to PLAY Champions and DESIGN a character? This game is designed to teach complete newbies, even those who have NEVER played a RPG. You will make a teen-aged superhero character . Characters will be designed using modified Champions Character Creation Cards. Then the character will go to the danger room and you and your classmates will have to fight A.I. controlled robots and other robotic dangers. Bring your imagination, a character concept, and be ready to roll some six sided dic…

For decades, the Justice Squadron was renowned as the world's greatest team of superheroes ... until they were lost in battle defeating the mad wizard Luther Black at the Second Demonflame Incident in 2010. For the last decade, the Justice Squadron mansion in New York City has been nothing but a museum to past glories. But now new threats have arisen, and a new team of heroes assemble and take up the mantle to oppose them... After a nearly five year break, I am itching to run Champions RPG again. Looking to start a Monday night weekly game starting at 8 PM Eastern Standard Time, lasting two to three hours per session online via Maptool and Facebook Messenger. …

Sort of. We will build agents of 50 points of characteristics and skills, +50 points of spy gadgets and weapons, with 50 points of disads, in Hero 3, 4, 5, or 6. We use the Hero rules but play through this module: I will GM. It will be entirely by email (that's my shtick). I will mostly follow the module but room must be left for artistic license! Respond here if you might be interested. PM me instead if you're shy. Or just post ideas to jazz this experiment up!

Ivan Snark, billionaire playboy philanthropist, has summoned costumed superheroes to join forces under the banner of Heroes Unlimited, an ad hoc group dedicated to Smashing Evil! I am launching an episodic 4th edition Champions game for the benefit of COVID-19 research and prevention on Roll20 and Zoom, broadcast on Twitch. All are welcome; join for one session or the series. Are you stuck at home by the COVID-19 restrictions? Do you want to play Champions Now? (See below for more on what Champions Now is about.) Seeking two, maybe three players who can commit to four weekly sessions. Thursdays 3pm-6pm Pacific Daylight Time online. (Probably Roll20.net) (4-7 MDT, 5-8 CDT, 6-9 EDT; UTC 22:00 to 01:00) Weekly for four weeks, with possible continuation as our schedules and possible return to regular work schedules allow. Champions Now starts with the original Champions rules of 1980 and adjusts and polishes them to support game play that reproduces the feel of superhero comic book stories for the 1960s and 70s …

We are all pretty much in isolation these days, opportunities for socializing at a minimum. The tabletop gaming group I normally play with weekly, has taken our game on line for the time being, awakening me to the relative ease and pleasure of still being able to play. We are most of us actually interacting with text even, and still it's WAY better than nothing. My regular group gave up on playing Hero sadly, because after five years of playing, half the players still didn't know what dice to roll. They were utterly uninterested in learning any rules set at all. So now we are playing D&D 5e, and they still don't know what dice to roll half the time. All th…

We’re looking for one or two other gamers to join us on our weekly adventure sessions on Roll20+Discord. We take turns running games, sharing GMing duties. We’ve got three games going now: We just started a home-brew Champions 6th edition game and Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. We are wrapping up a Dungeons and Dragons 5e Tomb of Annihilation campaign, but we’re at a great spot to add a couple of higher level peeps to help us wrap it up. Our group is pretty casual-- We rarely argue and don’t want someone who wants to come in and get mired in rules over having fun. We joke around quite a bit and all of us think we are individually funny-- and are right about 10% of …

My PCs are in Eastern Europe, but the team is split and they need help. Anyone want to drop into the pure-email campaign for 5-7 days? I need to know before midnight, March 22, 2020, or else I won't be able to write you in. Use a write-up you already have, 200 + 150 disads, in 4th or 5th, or 6th Edition--but the character will have to be Eastern European to fit the plot. Please email me quick at pbemguy at yahoo dot calm

I'm the GM of a long-running superhero PBEM campaign. It is a modern campaign, actually set in 2025. Alien tech is becoming part of the world due to a foiled alien invasion from 10 years prior. Please contact me by email: my email address is pbemguy at yahoo dot com. Anyway, the game is split into two streams: PG and R-rated. There are crossovers between the two streams and the crossovers are PG-rated. The R-rated is dark in tone and has adult themes. The PG is around Marvel movie level. Both streams are open but if you choose R-rated, it's pretty gritty, so you've been warned. :) The rule set is Hero System 5e. Please note …

Does anyone have recommendations for the best forums to find/start a play by post, Hero System game? Considerations would be, a Hero System playing community, any special features like limited visibility posting (I miss this so much from Hero Central), access? Personally, I find games on real-time chat type sites like roll20 too time-consuming in a single block of time for me to commit.

So I've gotten the itch to run a HERO game again after a long hiatus. I'd love it if there were enough HERO players in the Savannah area to run a game but I'm perfectly willing to run one online, most likely a hybrid chat/PBP style. I've been working on a Dark Champions setting and would love to give it a shot. It is, in fact, the one that I tried to recruit for last year but between hurricanes and a work schedule that usually had me working closer to sixty hours than forty I was never able to get it going. Things have calmed down now so I'd like to give it another try. The Setting (spoiler blocked for length): OVER…

Greetings all, I am looking to join a group in the SF East Bay. I'm local to Pleasant Hill, Concord, and Walnut Creek. In the past I have been known to drive an hour and a half to get to a game, but I'm not the young geek I used to be. I may top out at 45 minutes depending on when the group plays. I'm hoping for Fantasy Hero, Star Hero (Alien Wars?), Post-Apocalyptic Hero, or Pulp Hero. I recognize in my own play tendencies of The Pro From Dover, The Builder, The Combat Monster, and The Plumber. Is anyone looking for a player? 🙂

Hi, Been living here in Two Rivers Wisconsin for about over a year now and I am looking for getting a Champions/Hero System group together. I have been a Hero fan since I bought my first Champions book in 1981. I have GMed several campaigns over the years and I am itching to get another one started. I am a retired/self employed person so I am flexible as far as time goes. I prefer modern or pulp era games as opposed to fantasy which I feel is saturating the community. I prefer 4th or 5th edition or maybe even earlier. I really want to run a Superhero game in mid 1970s bronze age with a Six Million Dollar Man kind of feel. Probably low powered street level stuf…

Greetings! So far facebook, meetups, and, sadly, this forum don't seem do well when trying to find other hero game groups (at least in my experience thus far). Does anyone know of any other places where one can search/find hero game groups/players? Our current 3 member group is in the Orlando, FL area and we would like to expand/add more members or join any other existing hero game groups within our driving reach. Thank you!

Hello again friends, I have been off the boards other than the random trolling session for the last .years. During that time I have moved twice, gotten married and all but given up on my life long past-time. Cut to today and I live north of Seattle and I may have just gotten over my last game group of almost a decade. I still talk to some of my friends from the group at random, but armed with the knowledge that I am not going to move back to Boise I have to seek new adventure with like minded people. I am a GM looking for players. I can join a group that already has a GM, but honestly I haven't had much experience over the last 30 years on the other side of th…

As it says, I'm moving to Ft Lewis this summer and looking to find a new group. I've been away from Hero for a while playing other things, only because that was what was available. Been gaming 30+ years and willing to share in the GM duties.

I really really want to play Fantasy Hero, but I'll play any genre and any edition. I'm in Hillsboro but don't mind making the trek to Portland as long as it's not on a weekday evening.

New to this community and looking to find and meet some folks who might be interested in an RPG community that's themed solely around IDW's G1 Transformer continuity. As many of you may know, this specific type of RPG community is rather rare. Back in the day, there used to be several, but since then, most of them have closed down. Which leaves finding other people who love Transformers AND RPGs kind of hard. Our game is called Transformers: The Dark Eras, and is a server based MUSH. If you're wondering what that is, this article may be helpful. If you want to learn more about our game specifically, you can check out our wiki here. Right now, we're looking for more people…

Hey guys, I hope this is how it's done. I am trying to post in the Player Search topic. I am looking to learn to play Fantasy Hero and Superhero of the Hero System. I live in the North Bay in California (Benicia, Vallejo area) I am experienced in playing RPG's and played Champions in the 80's but I never played Fantasy Hero. D&D was my fantasy game. If you are local and looking for players, send me a note.
