Michael Hopcroft
Supposedly they were pretty good friends before this. Maybe Jefferson and Adams as a precedent? They reconciled after Jefferson's two terms as President (when they'd both retired from politics), and maintained a vigorous correspondence up until their deaths on the same day (July 4, 1826). Adams on his deathbed in Massachusetts expressed Gratitude that Jefferson was still alive, unaware that in Virginia Jefferson had died a few hours before.. Doc Shadow
I first read this as, "Now it's just a matter of the counseling." That too.

Badger
Well, soon the political ads will be gone, and we'll get slaughtered by Christmas ads......and we'll miss the political ads.

Badger
Already seeing Christmas ads, dude. And they started in September, I know. But, you know they go into insane NASCAR level speeded overdrive. Trump/Clinton is the only thing that has saved us a little thus far. Nolgroth
Not me. I hate political ads with a passion that words can never adequately articulate. aylwin13
aylwin13
Maybe they can do an ad showing Trump being run over repeatedly by Santa in a Mercedes, being pulled by reindeer. Nolgroth

death tribble
Sadly one of our most reviled commentators Katie Hopkins has been in the US and has again wound up the media. She proclaimed that Trump would win and that would obviously upset the Clinton News Network. She was of course being interviewed on CNN. Lord Liaden
Well, soon the political ads will be gone, and we'll get slaughtered by Christmas ads......and we'll miss the political ads. Many years ago I saw a Christmas advertisement for Norelco electric razors, showing a stop-motion animated Santa gliding over snow-covered hills atop a giant three-headed razor. The ad closed with the banner, "Noelco," across the screen, and a voice-over proclaiming, "Even our name says Merry Christmas." That's when I realized the spirit of Christmas had truly been killed by consumerism. I was depressed for hours. I would choose to watch that ad again for a week on a nonstop loop over seeing one more minute devoted to Clinton vs Trump.

Nolgroth
Please try. I don't wish to be banned. But I refer you to the Cure song Shiver and Shake as a start. It is most definitely NSFW or polite company.

Lucius
I've lived in the US my whole life. I've been to Nevada. I've heard it pronounced countless times. I don't think I've ever heard it pronounced other than the way it's pronounced in that clip. Lord Liaden
I've heard it pronounced "nuh-VAH-dah" by Americans quite a few times. The irony to me is that Lorne "Ben Cartwright" Greene was Canadian.
Badger
I don't say it much, but the more I think about it, I've pronounced it both ways
