Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Slyfox (A pc in a game I run) has just suggested to two NPCs that they get pizza... I proceed with the following:

There is a shimmering in the fabric of reality itself, a bell like toll that is only heard by the mind and not the ear. Then, there stands a figure, humanoid yet radiating the power cosmic, much like the Examiner, but this is not that being. To their mere mortal eyes, this golden skinned being in flowing blue tabard and breaches has numerous symbols drifting about him , text minus the page, small letters and numbers in a million .languages...

The being speaks, "Before your world had cooled, I was. Before your star was alight, I was. Long have I drifted, made eternal by one purpose-one over riding drive, from place to place, world to work, time to time. I come to fill the niche all the universe cries for: To Deliver Pizza in a timely fashion for reasonable prices to beings of power, such as yourself. I am known by many names, but some call me LORD 'ZA!"

..........

Slyfox's response?

"Are you telling me that you are some sort of cosmic god who's sole purpose is to deliver pizza? Brother, when they were handing out cosmic power, you must've been in the john or something..."

I'd rep you, but you failed to follow this up with: "You dare mock me! KEEL BEFORE 'ZA!!!"

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

(Our group's wizard is dominated, and is able to lie about the result since the other casters fail to identify the spell).

Marius: Trying to dominate an archmage? Not a smart move. He should have tried Cadberry; she's easy.

Cadberry: WHAT?!

Then Cadberry shrugs off a dominate and Destructions the enemy enchanter.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Got some quotes from the Sequoia City Slayer game...

---------

Jinx: Wow...with all this heavy fog, it look so...."Silent Hill", out here.

Teddi *baps Jinx on the arm, annoyed*: THANK you! :P

---------

Teddi: You can play keyboards and drums?! Neat!......I can play the flute

Jinx: Hard to get into a rock band playing the flute. ;P

Teddi: I know...I think thats why my father let me learn how to play it...

-----------

Jinx: Im....not allowed to drink coffee. Orders from my mother. There....was an "incident" :hush:

----------

[Jinx shows the rather sheltered Teddi, who was raised to be a Watcher but ended up the Slayer, some seriously "hentai" anime]

Teddi: Oh...my...Gawd. I didnt know that cartoons DID things like THAT! :nonp:

Jinx: Hopefully neither do the guys at Video Warehouse :D

----------

Teddi: Muchas smooches! :D

----------

[Teddi and Jinx encounter a gang of Vamps made up as Harlequins, led by a couple dressed as Raggedy Ann and Andy]

Teddi *squares off with the Raggedy Andy leader*: Oh...big fan of Carrot top, are we? :sneaky:

Raggedy Andy Vamp: RRAAAAAAAAARRRRHHHH!

Teddi's Sword: *Swoosh! Lop!*

Raggedy Vamp: * POOF!*

----------

Teddi *tries to lop off the Raggedy Ann Vamp's head with her sword, but only clips her, cutting off the girl's long red hair*: Hah! Enjoy the new hairstyle, "Britney"!

Raggedy Anne Vamp: RRAAAAAAAAARRRRHHHH!

Teddi's Sword: *Swoosh! Lop!*

Raggedy Vamp: * POOF!*

(Something about being the Slayer just makes you a smart-a$$)

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

Wow' date=' Hermit, I didn't peg you for a drug user...[/quote']

I know I'm not one to judge a person really stretching for a joke... but wow... that was a lot of work for that gag. =)
As a player in this game (though not of the PC in question), I found the scene itself to be very humorous, though I personally preferred the following lines, which followed after a brief explanation of LZ's job and aliens preferring pizza:

Lord 'Za: That'll be $17.55, not counting tip.

(if that part weren't funny enough from the situation...)

Slyfox: Here, keep the change. Sorry, its a bit...damp.

Lord 'Za: I understand... I've worked Seattle before.

And the gag continues, to much hilarity... =) hehe. Damp.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

From my Kingdom City game last night:

After a rather tawdry scene between 3, Vitas and Void: The Gunny (OOC): "Let's try and get the level back up to the gutter."

Later, when certain plot points have been revealed: The Gunny (OOC): "This is the most evil Champons game I've ever been in. We're going to have to rescue Mechanon."

Feeling rather smaug about that last one (No, that wasn't a typo...):eg::eg::eg:

Even assuming it needs rescuing, why would you want to rescue it??

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

The setup: Foxbat, having acquired the Power Cosmic is planning on fulfilling his dream of marrying all three female members of The Outsiders...

Solaria(female energy projector): So..Foxbat has gained super powers, beaten back all our attempts to capture him, and is about to force us to marry him. You men haven't really done much. Do you have any comments or suggestions here?

Spector(male martial artist): " Uh....I guess I should rent a tux? "
