Are you plagued by villains who lack a certain something? Villains who never break into song and dance routines or challenge your heroes' sexuality? Have you secretly always wanted to pit a bunch of two-fisted heroes against a youthful Tim Curry in drag? Never fear, the Hero 5ER write-up of Dr Frank N Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show is here. Character sheet to follow. Background/History. Has anyone ever tried using the Valdorian Age as a Lost World setting? It seems like it would make an interesting location to visit for Pulp heroes.

Adventure / Character Seed Shortly after he died, [Genghis] Khan’s surviving commanders ordered a group of 50 particularly battle-hardened families, collectively known as the Uryangqai of the Woods, to occupy this land [part of northern Mongolia’s Hentiy Province, an area known as the Ikh Khorig, which translates literally as the “great taboo” but is referred to by outsiders as the “Forbidden Zone”], kill any trespassers, making exceptions only for the funeral processions of the Khan’s direct descendants, who were allowed to be buried there. Unsurprisingly, this fierce degree of secrecy has led many to surmise that the body of Genghis Khan himself resides somewhere i…

As you step into the dark shop the first thing you notice is how the incense doesn’t quite cover the other more sinister smells. Almost in unison with your entry a pale gangly oriental walks though a beaded curtain. Bowing low he says. "Welcome evil one. No do not try to deny it. For you stand in the shop of the insidious Dr. Lo. That is all the proof of the blackness in your soul that is required. For in my shop though you will find many potions, lotions and notions, what you will not find is decency, compassion, or kindness. Now honored guest as this is your first visit, I must ask what darkness grips your heart? Do you covet a woman, whish to kill your enemies, does …

Greetings all Before people jump down my throat - yes I ran several searches. I didn't find the answer. The Hero System does a really good job with supers and upscaling with the d6 system. I don't think it does quite as good a job with lower level characters whose stats fall within normal characteristics max. Not that it does a bad job, but I'm looking for ways to differenciate characters where Player A has stat of 11, Player B has a 12, Player C has a 13 and Player D has a 14. Stat based skills differenciate well between B and C, but there is little difference between A and B, or C and D. Have there been discussions on this topic, or has so…

So I was making the old evil queen of the evil african city who on capturing the hero tries to make him her mate. Overall Not bad, but there are a few problems. For one thing where to put her. I'm thinking somewhere in west africa, which is simple enough. But what would the regions predominant language be, and does that mean I need to change her eliete gaurd from the panther men to something else? Also I'm debating giving her quasi mystical powers with the points I didn't spend. Powders that make darkness, and sap the will maybe? Anyway here's as far as I got. I don't know if there's as much interest in home-made art in this forum as in the Fantasy Hero forum, but since I'm preparing a 6e pulp game, I'll pop some images here - and encourage others to do the same. This began as just a rationalization for a hunted I wanted to take and now its becoming an adventure. Feel free to add minions. All the stats I present will be in 6th edition. If you are still working 5th that fine, go right ahead. It all began in an obscure rural region of India. The globetrotting masked avenger “the Shield,” stumbled upon a grisly scene: a back alley, a mutilated body, and a monster. A gigantic snake with the head of a man rose from its feast and for a moment locked eyes with the Shield. Twin guns blazed, and the monster was dead. The mystery man soon left the country with a souvenir. A vest of black scales, taken from the monst…

When you look at the elements in the show: a brilliant, tough heroine who's the daughter of a rocket scientist and a neurosurgeon, an arsenal of gadgets, her silly sidekick, and over the top villains with weird science and world-conquering plots, it seems like modern day pulp. Anyone else notice this? How many points would you use to build characters in a campaign to simulate this series? I'm thinking 100+100 for Kim, at least.

I was thinking about pulps lately and I thought of alittle twist. The two biggest villians used in pulps (I believe) are either Nazis or Mobsters, even during pre-WW2 adventures. But what about the Italians? Under Mussonlini (sp?) they were are enemy. So I was thinking of using them instead of the Nazis directly. It would go something like this, the heros are facing a mob boss. What is strange is the mobster is doing illegal things that are not normally mob related, perhaps some type of espionage? When the hero finally confront the mobster, it is revealed that he has been working under the fascists. And if you like, there can be a Nazis attache to the group. Does…

As mentioned in the Tremors IV: Thread, anything can be made pulp by simply changing the setting and making some tweaks! So I invite... nay, I DARE you to do so here. I'll start off... Predator: A group of experienced adventurers are sent deep into the jungle to find the remains of a previous expodition, only to be stalked by a hideous beast that can blend in with the surroundings. (Okay, that was an easy one, I'll try to think of something harder)

It's not very easy to find good pulp figures. Most figures are either too modern or too scifi. I found a couple of websites that sell metal figurines that are very appropriate for Pulp games http://www.pulpfigures.com/main.php http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/ Good looking castings, great dinosaur minis. They have a couple of ranges of Pulp figures. http://www.hydraminiatures.com/index.shtml They have a great range of pulp "Raygun" sciFi minis (also they sell some great paint stands) All of the figures have good detail, but not a ton of extra non-essential details. This makes the minis much easier to paint for beginners and everyone else.

and I have a question for GMs. Would you allow a Naga from the Beastiary as a Hunted? Pages 361 TO 364 (6th Ed). The base is 160 points. They can shape change to human forms. there is an option to add 60 points of magical abilities. I like the idea of something different. In this case, the hero encounters one in India, kills it, and its mate follows the hero back to the US to exact its revenge... in any case, whats the weirdest Hunted you've ever come across?
