Does anyone know of a site that has these? I'm trying to start-up a Pulp Campaign where planes have a more prominent presence, and am thinking of adapting the setting.

The Sinister Skull has plans to rule the city, and to that end has placed 20 hideouts around and outside the city. What are they and where? That's mostly up to you to add, but first. I'm gonna take an easy one. 1. The Frendly Storage Company A large warehouse in the center of the city where several shipping companys store goods, and rents out space to other companies. It is also The main area for the Skull's thieft, and smuggling rings. By day the four worker, manager, and two gaurds deal with legitamate buisness. By night an addition six men help take care of the illict traffic. The warehouse has none of of the Skull's more specialized equipment, but is an…

We are in Chicago in 1936. The character is Irish and we are looking for disads. I had this thought where the character is a functional alcoholic and that before the adventure he would have to make an ego roll and lose, say 1D6 in character points, if he fails. Those points could be taken from Dex and perhaps suffer negatives on certain skill rolls. What are some suggestions on how to best set this up?

I was reading in the book that if we had any questions, then we could email here. I'm trying to create a power that teleports me to a spot within 20 meters, and then causes a flash of light to affect all those around me. I was wondering if this calculation looked correct, to give me an idea of what im doing right and wrong when making powers. I Calculated it at 20 pts for the 20 meters teleport, 5 points for Position Shifter Adder, 25 pts for 5d6 Flash Damage, and Limitation = -1 Area of Effect(Explosion). So I got 25 Char Points cost for the teleport effect, and then 12 pts added to that for the Area of Effect Flash damage. -Xalops

If you have ever considered running a campaign set in the 1920s you should probably be watching this. If you haven't considered running a campaign in the roaring twenties, watching it might make you start.

I apologise if I'm being presumptuous, but since many visitors to these forums bypass the website home page I feared interested folks might overlook this announcement. The new prices are now in effect in the Hero Games online store.

Why am I reviving an old thread? Two reasons. First, Im in the hospital with pneumonia and Im bored. Second, when I argued I naturally advocated for my hero, as others did for theirs. It made for a lively, contentious debate, but did it reach any truths everyone could agree on? I dont think so. So I decided to compare the two men using only facts that have to be true. And let me be clear about this. Their respective deeds mean nothing. Doc and Bruce are known and measurable quanties. Their foes are not. Ever see the episode of Mythbusters where they try to find out how much force it takes to knock out a polar bear? And you never will. BIRTH AND EARLY TRAINING Do…

No, I don't mean dating in the romantic sense. I mean dating the story in a calender sense. Stoker's book was Published in 1897. In the manuscript the assorted journal entries are dated with days and months, but no years, as was the custom amongst the Gothic horror scribbling set. At the end of the book there is a final entry serving as an epilogue that reads "seven years ago we went through the fire...." Because of the publication date many people give the events depicted in Dracula a defacto date of 1890. Is there a specific reason to adhere to this? Is there something in the manuscript that would lock the period into very late Victorian era? Or is there room to move it…

I am running a 1930's game I have described as Buckaroo Banzai meets Sky Captain. One of my players is interested in a diesel-punk version of James Bond's Q. What sort of gadgets would be just a bit beyond the tech of the time? I'm thinking she may have developed radar a few years early and may be tinkering with jet engines.

Friend of mine, who has been absent from gaming for a bit now, is starting up a 6E campaign. "WWII Fantasy" - pulpy occult setting, Hitler has werewolves, etc. As he wants to do 6E, he helped me convert my 5E write up and I thought I would share. Basically, it is a pulp version of Blade to an extent. Just a bad arse soldier who is hopped up on a serum derived from Vampire blood. Mostly a speedster. I couldn't figure out a better way to do what I envisioned. Basically, the serum gives him all his powers, and only lasts so long. So I built an END Reserve with recoverable (under limited circumstances) charges. This reflects that I have 4 doses on me,…
