Previously in the Star Hero area there have been discussions about bibliographies for such genres as military sci fi. Well, here is a chance to suggest books in the style, or reprints of stories from the pulp magazines. If recommending a specific books please include all the information you can as they may be hard to find. Otherwise authors and particular works would be a great place to start. (I looked through archives and didn't really see any pulp era bibliography, let me know if I missed it). There is a discussion in "A Very Pulp Hero Movie" about what constitues pulp, so lets just leave this thread to authors and books (heh, like asking to stay on topic ever…

http://www.champions-online.com/villains/gigaton# An interesting elaboration of Tim Colton's character; I'm impressed at how Cryptic has added dimensions to him. The feature also hints at what's been happening to the "true" Dr. Destroyer's organization while DD has been keeping his head down. And IMHO Gig's new costume is pretty snazzy!

Hey folks, I'm going to be playing in a low-powered modern day campaign pretty soon. My character is going to be a taxi driver, and I wanted his taxi-cab to have police scanner. Since I'm still pretty inexperienced with HERO, I'm not sure how to go about it. Should I used enhanced senses based-off of radio? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey all! Just a heads-up- the Lucha Hero shipment finally arrived in Nevada today, and apparently a sizable portion of it (still working out the details) is printer-defective- misbound pages, covers stacked while still damp and therefore stained and spotted, etc. We're working out the details now, but a whole bunch of these will need to be redone, and that's going to take some time even if the printer in question hops to and starts fixing things immediately. We're figuring out now how many of these are actually in salable condition, but it doesn't look like a large number, so we don't know how many preorders we'll be able to fill out of this batch. We'll keep you informed…

Hee's the Box Art. I recognize the two in front, but who's the big guy in the back? The others are too small to recognize, even if they are named characters. Jim

Names will be hard if Champions online is a success at all, because there will, no doubt, be a lot of competition for the good ones. That aside, I'm curious. With the assumption being that you'll be able to and will give this a try, what concepts are you hoping to make? What will be the backstory to your hero? That sort of thing. "You" in this case is the various posters on these boards

Recently I've been trying to revive interest in Hero. 6th edition is steaming along and is the only RPG product of 2009 I am interested in. So I am thinking of doing a one off game to get people interested in it. Mainly my friends are war gamers as opposed to role players so getting them interested requires a bit of subtlety. Which to me has NINJA written all over it. Ninjas are the "b" in subtle! OK so here is the game from a logistical point of view. I was just at Nashcon here in Nashville TN and Wargames LLC had a sale on Dixon miniatures. I discovered they had a TON of ninja figures! Good ones. So I picked up 8 of them for a buck each. I'll have those painted up …

Actually, I guess he's been up for a little while, but I just noticed him. I'm not too impressed by the costume design, mainly because the entire thing could have been done on the original COH costume generator. Makes me wonder where the focus of the new generator is? Monster costume pieces (won't use) or just being able to morph individual body parts? I'm hoping they've added new stuff for the more traditional capes and tights type costumes. Anyhoo, here's the linky: http://www.champions-online.com/heroes/kinetik

GEM OF THE PACIFIC The Anime City I'll admit it, I don't like Anime. So before I sat down to help with the design of Angelus, I had to wrap my head around it and around anime. I had to try and understand the genre. I had to understand the medium. I went to work; reviewing and watching films, reading books, and spending too much time on Wikipedia. I drank pots of tea at Borders while perusing the section of the store that I had always avoided. Ok, Angelus is an Anime styled campaign with all that the word “anime” confers. In the way that “Action Movie” tells you nothing save that there will be explosions, fist-fights, and bullets flying, anime is nothing mo…

Instead of using the printed martial maneuvers, I've started building my martial artists through a succession of multipowers. Such as the one in the jpg attached here (excel giving me headaches right now, can't paste from it for some reason) In this case I used four multipowers: a basic one for general martial arts that including running, leaping, damage resistance, knockback resistance and striking power a unarmed grappling centric multipower a general pole fighting multipower a naginata specific multipower The character in question can use the grappling and basic mutlipowers at once and the basic, pole and naginata fighting ones all at…

I know this has probably been answered already but.. Will we see Harbinger of Justice? I know that Steve owns Harbinger of Justice since it's his character but still will we see him in Champions online or is that completely off the table?
