So, I am really into the Fallout series, and was wondering if anyone has taken the time to convert it to Hero.

I was thinking of designing a character who has some basic training in self defense and was wondering the types of maneuvers that would be appropriate. So far I have thought of: Escape Eye Gouge (Martial Arts) Maybe a NND? 1 pt use style with Improvised Weapons (keys) Any other ideas?

FU SCHTICKS FOR THE HERO SYSTEM Wild Martial Arts Powers Derived From The Pages Of Feng Shui Way back when Magic: The Gathering was first released, a number of other companies were quick to capitalize the financial opportunities evident in the realm of collectible card games (i.e. CCGs). One such company was Dædalus Entertainment and their CCG offering of Shadowfist, a riotous attempt to simulate the high-energy action evident in the world of Hong Kong cinema. It blended together ancient martial arts masters, modern Hong Kong Triad gangsters and police officers, spell-tossing sorcerers, supernatural monsters, and bizarre near-future cyborgs in a secret war…

Don't forget, folx -- we've got a special chat tonight with the fine folks from Cryptic Studios! Come on by the Chat Room at 9:00 PM Eastern, 6:00 PM Pacific to talk with them and hear about the first major expansion for Champions Online, Revelation, which is going live in just a few days! This will be a moderated chat, meaning you'll have to "raise your hand" electronically and I'll call on you -- that way we won't overwhelm the Cryptic guys and turn the whole thing into a muddle. Hope to see you there tonight!

This is my list. Feal free to coment on what I have listed. (Note, none of theas are Champions related, since I beleve that Champions would be off limits to anyone except for HERO insiders and members of Cryptic Studios). HERO System Book of Vampiers: A book on vampiers, and using them in vareous settings. Chambara HERO: A book on the Samuri setting, and on Japanies history, mythology, and culter of ferdual Japan. I remember that last year there was lots of rumblings of Champions MMO coming to the Xbox 360. Lately I haven't heard much. Just wondering if anyone knows if and possibly when it might happen.

I'm playing in the demo, and have two characters (the maximu allowed at that level) running through the Quarr Invasion tutorial. Something odd happened to one of my characters -- his principal attack "power" vanished. It was gone from the controls completely. I made level 2, but was extremely lucky to be in one piece at that point. I'm sort of afraid to continue with the character -- what if he loses his other attack and becomes essentially useless? The game looks gorgeous, but this is just plain weird. That and I haven't figured out the movement interface for my character just yet.

I was wondering if I should get the 6th ed. Martial Arts book. I already have the FrED, as well as Ninja Herp, and both copies of UMA (the one on CD, and the earlier one on paper.) I'm mainly looking for more martial arts styles -- something not covered in the books above. Should I get the 6th ed Martial Arts book?

I'm still plugging away at the book. I estimate I'm ~2/3rds the way through. I hope to wrap up equipment this weekend and jump into the background data. After that, NPCs and GM's notes. After that? I think I'm done.

Sample screenies. I hope they're useful; feel free to add your own. the interface was present when I took the grabs but seems to have been removed from the captures. I'll look into it further and see what I can do. Thundrax in Millennium City Against the Qularr Canada. I'll add some more if I get any decent action screenshot grabs or environments.

I'm thinking of downloading the demo, but before I do I'm wondering whether my machine will even run the game. My system stats are as follows: Intel i5 processor: two cores running at 2.67 Ghz 4GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 4770 Graphics Card (don't know the capacity) ATI High Definition Audio Device (again unknown capacity) Also, I do not currently have a hand-held game input device, requiring me to rely on my keyboard as an input device. Past experience has shown me that I have some difficulty maneuvering a character in an MMO. Should I even be thinking about this?

If somehow you've managed to avoid picking up Lucha Libre Hero fever, well, then you're probably not the sort of person who would be swayed by a rave review from the ineffable Ken Hite. But just in case you might be, here's one: http://www.indiepressrevolution.com/outofthebox/2010/03/10/%C2%BFque-es-un-libro-genero-perfecto/ dw

I apologize for the long post in advance, but feel it’s necessary to bring the relevant considerations to light before judgments are made. I have lurked on these boards since nearly 1995, rarely posting since so many questions come down to “What will the GM allow?” I appreciate the amount of trust placed in the GM by this game system, and so I normally resort to direct communication with my GM. The question I have of a legal matter. My gaming group consists of engineers (mostly computer related) and Mail Delivery Specialists. We possess all the combined legal knowledge that can be gleaned from watching “Law and Order and the History Channel (i.e none at all). I realize …

Hello I would love to hear any stories or anecdotes pertaining to an Avengers vs JLA heroclix contest. Although with my son we have a good collection we don't have the core teams. I would really like to see which group won the most and how. The eternal question of which team is best could be resolved this way, at least in some part. Thanks

I found a link to this short story, and thought I'd share, then I started to wonder what you guys might have links for. Got any good, free short (or maybe not so short) stories that are up online? Could be a zine, fanfic, fictionpress, or just someone's blog. Any good links to share?

And joined up with Champs Online. As a long time player of the pen and paper and a contributor of not a small amount of art to the franchise over the years.... I am hoping this is a huge success for Cryptic and Hero Games. I like "Darren's Pizza" quite a bit... and I really can recognize Detroit under all that Millennium City glitz...which is cool... I took Darren around Detroit when he was writing up that section many years back. Anyways, look me up in game. Although not quite sure how to do that yet. One pc is Vector1, the other is Gladius

Geocities recently shut down my site where I stored my favorite little contribution to the gaming community. I just got around to moving it to http://hrclark333.tripod.com/Hero_Vamp_Masquerade_A.pdf For those interested in keeping this old stuff archived, please update all your links appropriately. Thanks a bunch to all of you in the community who showed interest and gave support. It's always meant a lot. -Agent333 (aka Ryan Clark)

I'm putting together notes for a post-apocalypse campaign centered around a surviving arcology, one that has developed a caste system over a century or two. I've been trying to put together a caste system, and I'm looking for ideas. Here are some of the castes I've come up with. Archivist Entertainer Programmer Science Security Technician Worker (the lowest caste) I'm also considering having each caste have a distinctive color uniform. I don't want to overwhelm my PCs with a caste system as complex as India's, but I'd like to have enough variety to cover a fair amount of backgrounds.

....and you all know you want it! It's by Ken Hite no less! Serpent Scales #1: The New Konfederacy Serpent Scales: Fragments from the World After the Serpentfall There are a thousand tales to be told in the world of The Day After Ragnarok, some big and some small. Serpent Scales is an ongoing series of articles shining some light into the interesting little corners of the world after the Serpentfall. These smaller articles will cover the people, places and things of the post-Serpentfall world that are just a bit too esoteric for a full supplement. Sizes and prices will vary for each issue. But don’t worry, playability and usability are our top priority, no…

Just picked up a ATI Radeon 5770 and it's like a whole new game. Bumped the graphics all the way up and still no lag issues. The controls seem to be more responsive and I can actually see beyond 50 feet.
