I wanted a to make an attack power protect me using whirling chains...however i wanted to limit it in this way but im not sure how...I wanted it to take a full phase to activate it...No prob Exta time...but i wanted my character to take a half phase action every phase he wanted to maintain it... any help?

Im sure this has been asked, but Im kinda lasy and want to see what everyone thinks....If a weapon has wounding...for instance a sword with wounding after attacking a foe and dealing damage(wound) every phase after that he would continue to take 1 Body until a successful paramedics check or some healing power was used...how is this done...Ive been racking my brain and book for the answer...I believe it lies with graudual effect or continous...but like most often I am probably wrong... so any help would be apprieciated.

In 5RE, on page 156, under the rules for Duplication, specifically the Feedback limitation, it lists one of the special effects of Feedback as being in more than one place at the same time. However, it doesn't allow Aid/Healing to be fedback either. I understand why - game balance purposes (otherwise abusive players would make a double who hangs bakc at base solely to get healed), but how would you build a character with Duplication that does have positive Feedback? A character who "folds" reality and exists in the same place, or a time-travelling character (which would be a 1-way FeedbacK) - they would have positive feedback. I was creating an elemental type creature that would heal when he was hit with that element...for example a Fire elemental that is hit with a fire sword or a firery breath weapon that does 12 Body, it would heal the 12 Body damage the attack dealt. Could anyone help me with this? I'm lost on how to do it.

Ok, if you put only in hero Identity on a group of powers. All those powers are off until the character "powers up" I am making a mentalist who specializes in metabolic Psionics. He aids himself by boosting his stats and such. I was thinking about a VPP but I think it would be cleaner to just define 2 or three power sets he commonly uses and do it as a multiform. The forms would be the "powered up versions" Can I put OIHID on the true forms multiform? I think it should work but I have this nagging feeling I'm cheesing something. Can I get a ruling form the board elite? Thanks.

I've been flipping through 5ER and haven't been able to find anything substantive on Willing Targets. How is it handled in combat? Do willing targets drop their DCV to 0 or something similar? If so, is it reduced for everyone targeting him (i.e. enemies), or just for the individual who's targeting him with the beneficial "attack"? If you happen to know where I can find this covered in the book, a page reference would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Heroes! I thought that when your STUN reaches 0 or less, END goes to 0, and when your BODY reaches 0 or less, STUN and END go to 0. I noticed that the rules do not confirm this. Am I doing something wrong? Cheers!

I'm trying to build a Metal Magic spell that will attack the metal armor someone is wearing. It will cause the armor to either shrink and crush the target or grow spikes and "Iron Maiden" them to death. Regardless, what I need is an advantage that will allow the power to bypass Armor builds (even luck based cause how do you dodge spikes touching you?) but not FF or normal/Resistant PD. NND doesn't work, cause it shouldn't be stopped by the other defenses. AVLD seems like the right way to go, but is simply too expensive for what it gives. A +2.5 Modifier (with Does Body) to ignor one part of defense? That seems too much. Thoughts?

How would y'all pull this one off? By performing an action that would offend most of my targets (specifically, groping, fondling, and underwear stealing) I can cause them to become Enraged and lose some INT, maybe EGO (whichever would be most appropriate for keeping my targets mad and not thinking straight). It works by touch or close range (within 2"). At the mo', I'm thinking either PRE Attack or maybe Mind Control. Thing is, I want it to affect multiple targets, and wear off after a minute or so if it isn't exacerbated again diring the effect. Anyone? Oh, and this will be easier for some; given my fondness for anime, can you guess who this is for?

I'm building a plane that has a basic 3-d autopilot (roughly equvalent to those available for bombers in late WWII and into the early 50's. How would you define this? I'm thinking about giving the plane TF: Large Airplanes (Self-Basically) and calling it a day.

Here's the sitch - a pair (or even a triad) of linked powers, with the same number of dice. In this case, I'm thinking Drain and Aid (yeah, I know technically transfer is the power to use, bear with me). If the powers are rigged so that you can't Aid more than you Drain (or vice versa, I suppose), would you bother with making that a limitation? Since you could simply roll the same dice for it? Also, if you had powers of differing dice totals (10d6 EB and a 4d6 Flash, forex), would you allow the dice to be rolled together? A few new character I'm making have VPPs with the Limited Class Of Powers Available Limitation. The trouble I'm having is determing what the value of that Limitation should be. Here's the VPPs in question: Spells: VPP 30+15 Limited Class Of Powers Available (magic spells) What I mean my "magic spells" is that any Power bought through the pool should function as I've defined spell magic. Each spell must cost END and require no upkeep from the spellcaster (must be Instant, or an Uncontrolled Constant Power, no Persistant). I'm working on a character named Scorpia (I'm sure the name is taken somewhere but I'm using it anyway) she a supersoldier/cybog. Her main cybornetic attachment is a "scorpian tail" on the back of her neck that is hiden inside a long braid... The end of the braid has a USB port that allows her to log into computers and use some preprogrammed hacking tools.... The way I was thinking of doing the skills was to have a skill with the liitation that it can only be used once for any given task.... if it fails then she would have to get the real hacker to update the programs before she could try again. I've noticed lately that there seem to be a lot of folks ("a lot" meaning >0 in this case ) who've got a real mad-on for DOJ/Hero Games. Sort of a "I've been gaming since the late Jurassic, and all the supplements that have come out since 5th edition suck!" attitude (I'm exaggerating for effect, of course). I'm trying for a certain effect here, and I'm hoping y'all can help me figure it out. Here goes.... I've got a character with a very weird END Reserve. It recovers END at the rate of 1/10 minutes, but loses END at the rate of 1/12 minutes; simply put, the REC is 6 per hour, but there's a fade of 5 every hour. This means it technically has a REC of 1 per hour, but for some reason I can't adequately verbalize, I think it's better to do it this way. If you can figure out why I'm doing this, please tell me. Not sure where to post this, but this is kind of a system question. The situation. I am running a Standard Champions campaign right out of the book. I have set the resistance DEF at 13. So at most a character could have 13 rPD and 13 rED. Now he book has set the CV limit at 8-13. 13 seems awefully high to me. I have a character that bought 30 DEX which gives him a 10 DCV. He also has a power that gives him +3 DCV for a total of 13 DCV and he isn't even a speedster. A 13 DCV means that someone with a 24 DEX will have to roll a 6 or less just to hit him. Doesn't this sound like he has to high of a DCV? I have set all attacks at 70 AP. So, what ki…

I don't know how many of these I will actually do, since I'm pretty cool with almost all of the HERO system... except skills. Oh, don't get me wrong, it covers a broad range of needs quite admirably, and I think Knowledge, Professional, and Science Skills - and the attendant Area, Culture, and Trivia (mine own invention) Skills - are one of the most elegant designs I've ever come across, but I do have one little quibble.
