This is for any anyone who has any question dealing with our erstwhile Doctor. It could be on any incarnation from the first6 in the sixties to today, on the TARDIS, any oof his companions, devices, travels, or anything else that you would like answers to. There will be no limit to the number of questions that one can ask in one post. Now for the forst set: 1 - Entertainment? Between adventures what does everyone on the TARDIS do to entertain themselves? 2 - Plumbing? When the beings need to use the restroom, get water, or anything else that req plumbinmg what do they do? 3 - Food? What does everyone do when they have that rumbly in the tumbly? 4 - Tim…

Saw this on another message board and thought I'd pass it along. It may not be a Gundam or a Veritech from Macross, but it's a big step in that direction.

Anyone watching this new Sci-Fi tv series? First episode was just so-so, but I will give it another chance. Unfortunately in this day and age of television so-so sci-fi is almost the best we can hope for. Funny thing about this show is, it is almost exactly the same as a Phoenix Command/Living Steel campaign I ran for a friend way back in the early '90's. His character was a soldier in the far future who was injured on a mission and after being healed (with some cyber and genetic upgrades) was placed on garrison duty, guarding a scientific research station until he was approved for active duty again. He had no idea what the scientists were working on si…

So I am statting up that icon of video game history: Mega Man. He costs a ton so far. That's to be expected. As a robot, he has a lot of 0 END powers, and his most famous powers, the Mega Buster and the copy system, don't come cheap. I get the feeling I'm messing up on more than a few things, though. I really wish there was a good system of benchmarks for PD/ED, because I'm not sure what to puthis levels at, forst example. Here is an overview of his powers, for those who don't know, to give a bit of context to the stats below: Mega Man is a powerful super robot. He can run fast, jump high and has superhuman strength. As a robot, he doesn't get tired, doesn't need fo…

How about this: The Galaxy is in ruin following a Great Interstellar War. Hundreds of worlds have lost technology's benefits and most aren't aware of other occupied worlds. The ENEMY species is still out there, struggling to gain a foothold in space once more. The UNION is a legend. Once it ruled great swathes of space; now it's a meme for a war in Heaven. We focus on one planet, 1260 years after the fall of the UNION. Egariah is a single-world of ATRI 7.5 or so, struggling to make it into space. However, space is dangerous; so bad in fact that there is a group of intersteller spies on-planet trying to retard technology and (perhaps more importantly) acc…

While I know that this isn't a Hero book and all. I know that there are a bunch of Traveller Fans here on the boards. Traveller 5 is complete and is ready for publishing. They are running a Kickstarter to get their book published. While you are at it, make sure you are also supporting the folk on THIS website by buying something from the HS store. Tasha PS, I understand if the Moderators kill this thread. This IS a Hero Games Website. Since there are Traveller lovers here, I thought that it would be interesting even as a Sourcebook that people use Hero to play.

BlackWyrm is proud to announce a new line of dry-erase starship maps, designed by Ryan Wolfe of Ki Ryn Studios. His starship work has been seen in the Serenity RPG, Battlestar Galactica RPG, and some BlackWyrm Games books as well. We'll be rolling out these starships one by one over the next several months, and we have three great ones to start you off. The Jo Lynn and the Gryphon are on 36" x 18" vinyl mats, and the larger Drake is 48" x 30".

Greetings Lords of the Forum, I am here again with another question. A friend of mine is interested in hosting a Sci-fi setting in which the heroes use gigantic mechs in their adventure. Going from world to world, fighting other mechs and saving Earth or Mars from space pirates or Alien invaders. I have no idea how to start with the building process of a Mech using the Hero 6th Edition. Multipower? Multiform? Variable Power Pool? Suggestions and advice?

In gearing up for my Kazei 5 campaign to start later this year, my players will be working for a megacorp as employees instead of being freelancers. They will be troubleshooters dealing with problems for the megacorp, but highly-paid and well-benefitted. Has anyone else run a cyberpunk-style campaign where players worked for "the Man" as employees? What suggestions do you have on what works and what doesn't?

I've kicked this idea around for years, and I'm finally going to do it, so I'm wondering: Has anyone out there run Galaxy Rangers in Champs or Star Hero? I'm thinking Heroic level with exceptions made for the PCs badge powers (End battery with charges to activate, and they CAN tap into personal END, but it's not a good idea) Any thoughts? Thanks guys!

Good day. Desiging a Power Suit which utilise remote drones for observation and attack. The Power Suits has several Orbs which float around it when active. Power Orbs (4 of them) - My Build (Rough): Blast 4D6 (20pts); Indirect (Variable Source Point; +1/2), Constant (+1/2); Focus (OIF; -1/2) Quantity (4no; 15pts) Clairsentience (Sight; 20pts); Perception Points (x4 - 10pts) Targeting (10pts), Mobile Perception Point (24m/phase; 10pts); Focus (OIF; -1/2) To represent that both powers use the same focus do I need to use the limitations' Linked or Unified. What are peoples opinions?

Without fusion power, why go back to the moon? 1 2

In the NGD section some talk about going back to the moon and setting up a permanent base there came up, and I asked "Unless we get a fusion reactor that needs lunar helium 3 to run, what is the reason to go back to the moon on a permanent basis?" Sounds like a fair question here so I'll ask it here. As our demand for certain metals used in high technology grows, and we begin to encounter a scarcity of them on earth that leads to the term "Conflict metals" being used I suppose we could look to the moon for a new source of them, but until the cost of a desktop computer or laptop reached 10,000$ due to the rarity of these metals I don;t know if that will be a viab…

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47842589/ns/technology_and_science-space/#.T96Ro_XNnuw The air force says its mission was not nefarious, so all we know for certain is that its mission was definitely nefarious. I just wonder what it was.

Legendary game designer Pat Sweeney's The Fires of Heaven is now available in the Hero Store. Pat Sweeney Blackwyrm Books and Games BWG636 PDF: $12.49 BOOK: $24.95 BUNDLE: $24.95 The Fires of Heaven presents the United Worlds, a human-led federation including two formerly less advanced alien races, for science fiction roleplaying using the Hero System 6th Edition rules. In the 23rd century, humanity has colonized 14 star systems radiating outward from Sol, from sophisticated core worlds such as the corporate-run industrial giant Hephaistos orbiting Alpha Centauri B to sparsely settled frontier worlds such as sun-scorched Anubis, filled with ruins o…
