Hi. My character needs to have this gun (I'm playing a Dr. Watson clone, and that's Watson's infamous "service revolver"). Does anyone have a write up for this gun? Thanks.

This question is dealing with the rules on page 264 of Dark Champions. It is stated there that many types of explosives are considered to be Street Level equipment and most grenades are Military Level equipment. My assumption is that industrial explosives of the sort used in commercial demolitions and mining (dynamite, TNT, etc.) should probably be rated as Street Level availability. Do you think that this should include some types of plastic explosives too? Just how tightly are these sorts of explosives regulated? How stingent are the license requirements? Do you think a character with Demolitions skill and SS: Chemistry should be allowed to brew-up his own pipe-bom…

Greetings. I was a little bored so I tried another conversion. This time, it's the unnamed F.E.A.R. operative from the recently released video game of the same name. If you are presently playing or plan on playing this video game, please don't read on. There are some serious spoilers from the game and I think that they may diminish your enjoyment of one of the greatest first-person shooters I have played. I would put this character as a "Street-level" Champions character, DC:TAS character or perhaps a high-powered Masked Vigilante character. Enjoy. F.E.A.R. Operative Background: The F.E.A.R. Operative's first mission was the elimination of Paxton Fettel, …

A man had been going throught the list of the Sex Offender Registry foir your metropolis and killing anyone with multiple counts of offenses against kids. He managed to kill over 2 dozen of them before he was captured in the middle of taking down his next victim, but escaped from the station while they were trying to identify him. He has used a variety of means to kill offenders, in fact he hasn't killed in the same way twice. He has used only non-lethal weapons and tactics to avoid police and to escape. In fact, he was only captured because a police officer was wounded by friendly fire, and he didn't want any others hurt. Hours after his escape, he issued a statemen…

Is there any human level rule for this beyond targeting them as foci? Just a -2 seems pretty easy to hit. I can just use the foci rules, but I was thinking there was something more specific for it.

There are a thousand and one people on the Global Frequency. A worldwide independent defense intelligence organization with a thousand and one agents, all over the world. Anyone you know might be with them. It's the world's little open secret. You could be sitting there watching the news and suddenly hear an unusual cellphone tone, and within moments you might see your neighbor leaving the house in a hurry, wearing a jacket or a shirt with the distinctive Global Frequency symbol... or, hell, your girlfriend might answer the phone, and then put on her Global Frequency badge and promise to explain later... for all you know, they have your file, and you'll be recruited…

Yet another Hero book makes its way to the Online Store in PDF form, and for only $18.99 it's a steal! Just don't let the Harbinger know what you're up to.

I have decided to start posting the old campaign logs of my best and longest running Dark Champions campaign The Omega Campaign. The Omega Team was a group of vigilantes that operated out of Hudson City. Most of the characters were originals with the exception of Nightstick who was adapted for use by one of the player-characters and Dancer who was a permanent NPC. (Both of these characters were taken from the Hudson City Blues sourcebook). Dancer was very useful for providing info to the players and as extra firepower on those night she was needed or a player was unable to attend. I made use of many published adventures during the course of this campaign (published b…

Just a minor question. I want to give a rifle a removable scope. If adding the scope, how would that affect it. I am thinking either CSL, or Penalty Skill level, to be added when the scope is put on to signify better aim. Or should I use a power (enhanced PER?)

The London Daily Telegraph reports that the Pentagon really is conduting expreiments on chips that can be iomplanted in the brains of soldiers to improve their performance. This seems to me an extaordinarily unethical thing to do (what do you do when the guy musters out -- take it out?), but I am wondering what the game effect of having something like that in your head would be. Not to mention the social implciations. Once you get the surgery, do you lose the option of leaving the serivce? In effect, are you now property of the government? If not, how can you ever leave the servide given the obvious danger a guy with hyper-reactions poses to the rest of society?

Not sure where this question goes, but I will try here. I finally got around to watching Sin City this weekend (one of the better movies I have seen in a while, by the way). After watching I am still a little confused about the tie in of the very first part before the opening credits. Who were the 2 characters supposed to be. The one played by Josh Hartnett (?) and the woman he killed. I dont have much previous knowledge of Sin City before watching the movie. And it is perplexing me. So I was wondering if any of the more knowlegeable Sin City fandom could help out.

As in all things, I suppose this is a matter of personal preference, but would you use hit locations in DC:TAS? Dark Champions almost requires them, but DC:TAS is the "bridge" between Dark Champions & Champions. Has anyone played in a DC:TAS game? What were the results? Did it affect the flair? Sorry for all the questions, I haven't gotten to play in a long time. :-)

Does anyone know what pre-FREd books had the soldier and government agent packages? I know there were soldier, ranger, special forces, SEALs, etc for soldiers, as well as FBI, Secret Service, etc. for the government but I can't find them in my older Dark Champions books. Were they printed in the books, or just in the old Heromakr software? Page numbers would be extra-helpful, but I'll settle for the books.

What would be the best way to build Jane Doe, a serial killer and Batman foe who studies her victims, kills them, and then becomes them, assuming their lives so completely and flawlessly that most of the victim's friends, co-workers, et. al. don't catch on without something going majorly wrong for the imposter. What sort of skills and abilities (beyond Acting and Disguise... or perhaps Shapeshifting would be more appropriate) would such a character need to be effective?

I've recently seen a few episodes of the CBS drana Numbers and have been wondering what kind of use the series' concepts could be in a police-based Dark Champions campaign. The series involved an FBI agent who is frequently put on high-profile and rather puzzling cases, ranging from celebrity stalkings to brazen robberies linked to kidnappings. And the agent, although he isn't stupid, is frequently in over his head when it comes to the cleverness of the felons he is trying to track down. Luckily he can get the help of his brother -- a math professor at a local univeristy (I'm thinking UCLA, since the show seems to be set in los Angeles) who has already been doing con…

Are local and federal government liaison officers reasonable in a Dark Champions: The Animated Series campaign? If so, what would be a reasonable background for each?

Wanted Dead or Alive You are a mutant. You weren’t born this way; you are a victim of a government manufactured virus that attacked your DNA. The CDC reported that over 250,000 people died from this virus, you were one of the “lucky†ones. Unfortunately the population at large fears you. The church, under the direction of Cardinal Sin, has declared you an abomination and that you must be destroyed and they will use any holy relic in their possession to complete this task. The Governments of the world want you in their arsenal at any cost, if they cant have you alive, they will gladly take you dead so the can dissect you and find out what makes you tick…

I just wanted to say that this looks like an excellent little adventure. I will definately be using it in my Dark Champions campaign. It has just enough detail in it to make it easy on the GM and still fit into about any existing campaign. I really hope that there will be some more DC adventures of this type made available.

The Network 12 weeks ago, a total of six thousand pods were shot from an alien craft orbiting modern day Earth. The trigectory of these pods specifically targeted major military institutions in all corners of the globe. The craters from the impact themselves were enough to completely disrupt modern military capabilities. But the pods which all survived impact opened and hostile aliens began attacking and destroying the military forces at these bases. Most island countries are left untouched. Japan and England have but a single pod each to contend with. Shortly after the invasion begins, all satellites are destroyed. 11 weeks ago, most military heavy countries…
