I'm looking to find a copy of the 6th ed Champions in Hardcover and was wondering if the ISBN was different than the softcover?

I'm wondering if I'm just becoming a cheapskate in my old age, but the pricing of the latest Champions International supplements seems a bit high to me. Champions International: Costa Azul is 45 pages for $15 or about $0.33/page. Champions International: Taqiristan is 16 pages for $7.50 or about $0.47/page. Champions International: Lugendu is 16 pages for $7.50 or about $0.47/page. Champions International: Transnistria is 23 pages for $7.50 or about $0.33/page. Compared to that, the new Western Hero adventure (The Taming of Tascora) is $4.99 for 49 pages or about $0.10/page and Western Hero goes for $15 for 276 pages or about $0.05/p…

As weird as it sounds, I'd ike to trade someone a 6e Vol1 character book in hardback for one in softback. I'll pay postage for both. I'll post pics of mine later today/tomorrow.

Did the BoT I ever have an HD pack option? I looked in the store but I only see it as pdf or print, while number 2 does have the HD pack. Also, my HD is back from 2017 I think, I assume that the templates will still work with that version?

I am using the powers book for 6E to create a list of powers that you can get potentially with a very dangerous serum. Powers are NOT guaranteed, you can have no powers, powers, or even potentially death based upon shock/body damage if by chance the serum is incompatible with the characters/NPC's body - by of course rolls. I have already created a roll list for which category of powers one can get if they do roll positive, and which sub-categories based on it. One thing one of my Hero Mates mentioned to me was to potentially add Complications and/or Power Side Effects to put a balance on things. As indicted, we have a Powers bo…

Is there a book dedicated to creating vehicles in Hero 6th Edition? There was one for 5th Edition but I cannot find one for 6th.

In the PDF I bought for Hero System Bestiary v6, on page 64 it lists the Centaur's "Total Cost: 1336175" I am guessing this is incorrect?

I've seen the 'Universe Bundles' being sold in the site store for about $10, with for instance the Universe History Bundle containing Champions Universe, Champions Universe: News of the World, and Champions Worldwide. Just so I'm clear, does this mean the actual game stats/PDF of the original 5th Ed books are included, or is it something more basic? To be extra sure: I'm referring to the sets like this: Thanks for any help.

Is this an expansion and update to the bestiary in the Tuala Morn campaign book for 5E? Have the stats been updated to 6E? Thanks in anticipation, Ian

I've decided to jump into the deep end of the Hero System and bought both the Hero System and Champions bundles of holding. As I start reading, I'm looking at HERO Designer. Does it work with Champions and Champions Now? Does it include all the sourcebooks for Hero and Champions?

Used to play and run Champions (ran a 3rd Edition campaign for ten years!) I would like to get back into Hero System / Champions or at least see what the state of the art currently is. Is 6th Edition the current state of the art? What books/publications would I need to understand the system as I ponder getting involved again? Just Hero System 6E and Champions? Could it be that simple? I looked at the offerings in the store and was bewildered by the array of options -- how do I get (re) started? Thanks for your time!

This is more directed to @Jason S.Walters more than anyone. Is there a chance we might see the 6th ed POD books available in Hardcover?

Hello, I have Champions Powers and Martial Arts 6th Ed. Is there any reason to get Ultimate Brick, Mentalist, Mystic, Ninja, Energy Projector, Speedster, Metamorph or any others I might have missed or does Champions Powers and Martial Arts combine all these under two hoods? I know the Ultimate series is 5th Ed but I also know conversion is relatively easy. I am a bit of a collector and have 4th,5th, and 6th edition stuff but....sometimes I look for justification to spend the $ and find room on the shelves. Thanks, Mike

Wow GRAMMER BAD Rewritten for clarity I recently had reason to look at my 6th edition character pack from 2010. I am noticing that a few files seem to be missing and wondering if this is a universal issue or something that has happened over time. I did go back to the original zip file I had and they are missing from that as well. I do realize that there has been a software update on the website that has erased any order from this far back. In truth I cannot remember if I bought it or was given a copy for doing data entry on it. My main curiosity here is if this was a universal issue, or something that haas happened to my files. …

Does anyone know if there is book, article, etc. for 6th Edition (or that I could adapt) that covers advanced hacking/programming such as for a Cyberpunk, Modern, or Near Future setting? If not, any suggestions on how to develop a system that would represent cyber 'Combat'? I'm thinking both Cryptography and Analyze: Network Security as complementary skills, but I am also thinking of perhaps a sort of mini-game element that might add to scenarios where the hacker is running in real time parallel to the 'action heroes' like in the movies. I am not opposed to adapting from another system to Hero if required. Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

I just wanted to give the nod to Christopher (@ Khymeria) regarding The HERO System Book of Templates. This is an excellent book to get people started quickly with character concepts that are very well-known. At 5$, it is great value and I want more of this. The fact that the HERO Designer files are included makes it even more valuable. If I may make two comments on the product: 1) It might not have been your choice but why name this supplement The HERO System Book of Templates? I believe it makes a disservice to your product and does not convey the flavor, nor the utility value it's due. I believe Champions Heroes: Volume 1 (assuming there could be more) woul…

This is definitely not of great importance, but just in case someone has the answer: Does anyone have a copy of Gadgets! that shows a "First Printing" date - and if so, what is that date? My own copy which I bought Way Back When shows "Second Printing September 1986", and the PDF of it that I picked up in one of the Bundles of Holding a couple years ago also shows "Second Printing". Thanks in advance!

This work started it in the early 1990’s with the goal of using Robot Warriors mecha construction and combat rules with 4th edition Champions and the HERO System Rulesbook. It has been updated and enhanced to help you do the same—with any current edition of HERO! Convert Robot Warriors characters to the 4th, 5th, or 6th editions of the HERO System! Use Robot Warriors robot writeups—as is—in current editions! Build new robots using the old rules and take advantage of new rules! Convert robots from Robot Warriors to the Vehicle rules of the HERO edition of your choice! https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/327714/Robot-Warriors-to-HERO-Syst…

I ask as I haven't found one either here or at drivethrurpg, though maybe I just failz @searching. I can find the PDF that says '#450' on the cover and #400 on the inside but I already own that one in dead-tree and pdf. I'd like to get a new copy of the 'revised/451' edition as my old book is really showing it's age now. So I'm specifically the 'Product Code 451' version which, according to RPGG has a bit of re-formatting, art and layout. https://www.rpggeek.com/rpgitemversion/5177/deluxe-printing This deluxe edition of the Big Blue Book differs from the standard editions as follows: New interior graphics and layout. The new layo…

I'm looking for a product check list for all editions which includes their item/product numbers (such as HERO01 is Champions 1st edition rulebook). I noticed on some books in my collection, there is no product number (such as The Island of Dr. Destroyer). The list in Wikipedia doesn't help since it doesn't include the item numbers.

What’s the difference between, and how would one use, Fantasy Hero Complete versus Fantasy Hero 6th Edition? Thx.

This may have been discussed before but, since nothing came up when I searched, here's something I've been pondering: At this point I think it's fair to say that we are not going to see 6E versions of, say, Lucha Libre Hero or Dark Champions. The economics clearly aren't in favour. In many cases, though, the parts of the 5E books requiring an update are not the bulk of the volume, so they still work as excellent sourcebooks if you don't mind doing a bit of work on the numbers. With that in mind, what about producing update PDFs for older books specifically to bring them in line with the current edition? There's no rewriting, reformatting and repri…
