This is one of the wildest things I've ever purchased. In a nutshell, this is a remix of old school Champions, the superhero roleplaying game, first through third editions, by Ron "I am definitely modern gaming" Edwards of Sorcerer fame. The whole book is written in caffeinated, stream-of-consciousness format, defying decades of textbook-style game writing, in favor of a style I usually associate with hundred page spirals from the university print shop. To get right to the point, this is one of the most fun and exciting things in gaming I've read in years. If you have even one superhero game on your shelf, you owe it to yourself to buy this game. Why? I'll tell you why, t…

For the intrepid game designers in the community, I wanted to make a request for a Hall of Champions submission. One thing that helps me as a less experienced GM is the ability to use pre-generated NPCs and basic environmental settings. It's nice to be able to grab a few villains from the book, but also be able to grab a few normal NPCs that can be weaved into a story on the fly. To that end, I was hope to suggest a submission for the Hall of Champions store. Law Enforcement: The Sourcebook I would love to have a book that delves into Law Enforcement and how to insert it into an encounter, adventure, or campaign. Whether …

A while back I purchased all of the Martial Arts as prefabs that I could load up in Hero Designer. I don't see them in my purchases and couldn't find anything on the site to purchase them again. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Is there a way to purchase those again?

p.153 "Club Weapon (1/2 Phase, +0 OCV, +2 DC)" I don't think that's right. I mean, Club Weapon seems super easy as it is (for basically a free Multipower) but I'm pretty sure it's +0/+0.

I was a big player in the 5th edition era and have most of the sourcebooks (I'm already regretting the few I gave away). I even got several of the 6th ed books when they came out. But I took a hiatus and now that I come back, 8 or 9 years later, I see nothing new. Was Complete Fantasy the last book published? Did 6E just kill the line? What happened while I was away? Is there anything in the works that I don't know about (other than the Drivethru DMsguild thing)?

Hi this message is aimed towards Greg Elkins the creator of the above. I was going through the HD files associated with this product and noticed that the villain Griffon is missing. Can this file be added/updated to the Store, or to the downloads section? Thanks

So, I was at Robert Huston's spectacular Pulp Space HERO game at Mace 2019 recently, and noticed one of the other players had, not the blue and yellow Hexman dice, but the black and green ones from the time of 5e. They were spectacularly appropriate for a pulp space game, bringing back memories of Commodore PET computers and other 80s green-screens.... But, my Google-fu is failing me - not even on eBay does anyone sell these!!!! Time for a Kickstarter? I know the story here has 700+ sets of 6 Hexman blues and yellows, but since they have ZERO of the retro blacks and greens..... If I say Jason Walters' name three times will h…

Was going through my champions books on my shelf, and saw something i was surprised I hadn't noticed. I organize my books by the "catalog number" on the spine, so for example"Alien Eenemies" is #413, followed by "olympians" at #414then "Road Kill" at #415......but between "Corporations at #434" and "golden age Champions at #436....i seem to be missing #435 which book was #435? was it never published? was it a non Champions book?....or did I just "lose" it somewhere?

In the various Champions villains books, villains who have martial arts with NND damage types will have a parenthetical notation in the maneuver notes - usually a (1) but sometimes other numbers. A great example is Eurostar leader Fiacho, since he has three of them - Choke Hold - Grab one limb, 4d6 NND (2) Low Blow - 4d6 NND (3) Vital Point Strike - 4d6 NND (1) Where are these parenthetical notations documented? Can't find'em anywhere. I presume they are meant to indicate the type of defense that is effective vs. the martial strike at issue, since I've seen (1) on various forms of Nerve Strike and (2) on various forms of Choke Hold. Not sure on …

When I was growing up in the 1980s, I had read a lot of the Champions books. There was one book which I believe was a character book which had the villain Halfjack in it. The book was important to me but I lost it 30 years ago and am trying to find it again. I just don't know which book it was and I don't want to spend money buying books just to find out I have the wrong one. The book was more than likely released sometime around 1985 but that isn't necessarily the exact year. Does anyone know what book it might be?

So I've got plans that my friend calls 'ambitious' and they probably are. Think I might be going too far? A little background: I recently changed jobs and moved to an entirely new city. I do have friends here, and several game. We are going to be doing a Gloomhaven game on Fridays. But this is about HERO, because they want me to run a game. Players will be small. No more than 3-4, not including myself. I have a ton of game systems available, but I hit upon an idea I've always wanted to try but never got around to it. So the concept: In 5th Edition HERO, the various setting books(Turakian Age, Atlantean Age, Alien Wars, etc) all covered …

Given the amount of superhero movies prevalent nowadays (as well as the associated marketing), is HERO planning any sort of reemergence into the game store marketplace?

Hi, I was just wondering if there were any plans for a new volume of Champions Villains books. The three hardcover books are quite good, but I noticed a number of villains from previous editions were not included. There may well be enough for another volume. Some examples of villains I would like to see (particularly some of the more powerful ones, but not exclusively), which include the A'asifa Rumlia (Champions Worldwide), Arvad (Lemuria), Dragon (Mystic World), Obelisque (Champions Worldwide), Halfjack, Mister Gemini (Vibora Bay), Oculon, Ripper, Shirak the Destructor (Lemurian), Survalesh (Champions Worldwide), Thoughtcrime (from The Book of the Destroyer), El Tibu…

I've been lying abed ill for a couple of days; I thought I'd use some of this time to catch up on some reading. The problem is the HERO books aren't exactly novels, and hard to keep open and out of your face when lying at odd angles. So I thought I'd pick up the PDF and read it on my phone. I went to the 5e section for the store, and there is no PDF for this book. No; I take that back: I can't buy the PDF because they don't have a paper book to go with it. So: Does anyone know where I can buy- legitimately buy- a PDF of this book? Thanks. Duke

I recently bought 12 packs of the Hex Man dice and they are fantastic for my new players. However, there aren't any HERO branded dice for 1/2d6 nor for the classic stun multiplier of 1d6-1. I was going to get some custom dice made for personal use and wanted to know if I could use the logo for that purpose only. Basically sets of 1-1-2-2-3-3 and 1-1-2-3-4-5 with the 1s being Hex Man!

Hi HEROes! What are your most recommended Enemies/etc. Books for a new Champions 6E GM? I am looking for supervillains appropriate for present-day (2019) Standard Medium-Big City Superheroes, with 80pct+ of the Enemies/etc. Book written close to a Silver/Bronze age tone. ***I'm looking to buy 1-3 books/PDFs as ingredients to prime the creativity pump, and will slice and dice from there.*** So far I own: 6e1, 6e2, Champions 6e Genre, Strike Force 6e, Hero Designer software. Thanks in advance! A.T.R.A. Mk II

I recently had a personal book printed over at Lulu and I was very impressed with the quality so it got me thinking... Before I begin - if this thread is in violation of the board in ANY way - I am extremely sorry. I am not trying to do anything wrong - I just want to get some opinions/help. My plan is to create personal omnibus versions of my favorite three genre books that were never really updated to later editions. I have scanned each of the original three editions but I also want to include all other related works in the book. I have bought all related items that I could find from the store and currently my three omnibus editions include the f…

Just stumbled across this in the store. And I'm something of a sucker for technomancy, as it plays into-- well, I suppose we all have it: that one campaign we've always wanted to build, but never had the time, or resources, or player interest, or extensive-enough knowledge---- it doesn't really matter the reason: for GM's with a particular longing, it's that one campaign that "got away," as it were. But never mind all that. My question is about it's actual existence: there is no image, no blurb, etc-- is there actually a product there, or not? I'd really love to read it, but I've already paid for a PDF I can't download without shellin…

Hi all, i'm not sure if this is the right section for posting this. I put in my chart three books for hero and champions, but the shipping fees are counted three times, the order should be delivered in Europe (Italy) is it intended? I'm asking beacause normally fees are for the whole order, not for item. Thanks.

I got another used copy for table use, but I'd like to repair the binding at some point so it will last longer. Has anyone had any luck trying to repair the binding on 6e1?
