Defently, there are a few legiodary villians I have herd about, but have never spoted a writup on. Holocost was one of them. With this, my hopes have been tingled. Will we ever see: 1) The Lavender Fog: Homosexual master villian/mutant who is able to transform himself into a cloud of lavender mist. Can also generate a lavender mist (Darkness). Basicly an openly gay, flamboyant type. Quote: "Tie him to the Pleaser Bar, Brutus." 2) Blond Bombshell: A martial artist girl who can explode. Forcently, later writups are said to include Desolification linked to the explosion (or is that personal imunity?). Proably will never see one, because of who created her (hint: He…

How do you create a power that stops time?
Last reply by steriaca, -
He's mentioned in Champions Universe and in Conquerors', Villains and Crooks, but there isn't a write up for him. In CKC, his entry is in boldface indicating a character sheet, but unfortunately he isn't. Where can I find his 5E stats?

I'm working on a Golden Age Robin Hood character named "The Yeoman." He uses a bow and arrow as well as a sword. I'd like to do his bow as having the option of firing an RKA or a physical EB. I'd also like to do the same with his sword, either use it as an HA or an HKA. So my thinking is to dump all of these into one multipower, since he can't fire a bow AND attack with the sword. But how should I do the foci? I'm fine with defining all as OAF, but do I apply the OAF to the MP base, to the slot costs, both, or do I do teo MPs? It seems to me that if I apply OAF to the MP, then an opponent should only have to do one grab/disarm to take away both, which doesn't make …

One of the things I like about RPG's over comics, characters grow in RPG's in a steadier, more believable rate. Comics thend to fall back to the status quo after a few months or years, change is rare and often shortlived. Champiuons creates a living, breathing world that moves on with time. Now I am asking for a little help with the evolution of a villain team. The Ultimates are one of my guilty pleasures. I like them. However, I was not as pleased with the "Ultimate Mastermind" vision of the future for binder. Keeping in tune with his current powers what abilities would you give Binder as he gains experience? Clingning makes sense, perhaps a counter solvent t…

I've been considering simulating an effect found in a few other RPGs. Primarily, this is the ability to fake a move and instead do something else. Now the primary ways I've thought of are listed here, but if anyone has a better suggestion, please let me know. [*]Plain ol' DCV/Levels. Using the "Fake Move" as a special effect. Works but it's kind of boring. [*]Analyze Skill. I'm guessing there's something related to this ability in Ninja Hero? I've bought the book but haven't had time to read it yet. [*]Assume it's a special effect of Find Weakness. [*]Some kind of PRE based ability? [/list=1] Please make all suggestions so that I may go in the pro…

Okay, one of my players has a character who is 19 year old girl who looks 13 in actual age. She wants to have Secret ID but has yet to come up with a name yet. The press has been assured that she is, infact, 19. She has a press released photograph of her in costume (not yet designed). Knowing only this tiny bit of information, what nickname would you think the press would give her?

Nothing like a heated rules debate first thing on a Sunday morning... The question came up about how STR should or should not affect the Block Maneuver. My co-GM and I see things a bit differently. He has always felt the Block maneuver represents actually stoppping the attack cold. Like Superman stopping a punch with his open palm, or putting up a forearm. He says a Block with the SFX of 'getting out of the way' is just a Dodge. I say the SFX can be 'getting out of the way', but it's not a pure concentration on dodging, it's also setting up for a return attack. I cite the complete lack of reference to STR in any descriptions of the Maneuver, either in F…

It's frivolous opinion time! I read some comments this morning on people trying to get old Champions material through E-Bay and suddenly flashed back on the worst supplement I ever bought. So I thought I'd see if people can remember what the worst superhero related supplement was that they ever bought. I was going to limit this to champions, but it might be just as fun to hear about awful MSH, DC heroes, etc. My vote (and this is fairly obscure): "Bad Medicine for Dr. Drugs", an adventure with teenage heroes in high school, made for both Champions and Superworld. It makes me want to have players design humorous "tick" style characters so I can then try t…

Hi All, I am looking for old adventures to adapt to my current Champions campaign. Does anyone know any superhero adventures that were written by companies other than Hero Games (Champions), FGU (Vigilantes and Villains), Mayfair Games (DC Heroes) and TSR (Marvel SH)? If so please list any that were good? Thanks

Hi Gents, I sold some of my older RPG junk on eBay now I have some money to spend on new RPG stuff. I was thinking of getting either M&M or GOO. Which product would Hero fans recommend? WAIT WAIT! I'm a total Hero fanatic...BUT like many other intelligent and well informed gamers who prefer Hero I'm always looking at other systems to keep myself apprised of the superhero RPG industry at large... Thanks.

The little lady and I finally saw Minority Report. If you haven't seen it yet, my wife and I BOTH liked it which is rare and ,IMO, a glowing endorsement. I didn't like everything, but it is a very watchable movie. What I was most impressed was the cadre of non-lethal weapons employed by the police department. Jetpacks and flying cars are futuristic movie must-haves if not so realistic. The non-lethal police gear though was absolutely believable. As a resident of a city rife with anti-police brutality sentiment, I thought the "sick-sticks" and what I can only describe as a Knockback cannon were truly inspired. Has anyone attempted to write up such weapons or ha…

I was looking up the champions characters and wondered if anyone has written up Wendy Brooks (the Champion's housekeeper), Julie Morgan (Nighthawk's girlfriend/crime reporter), Sunshine (Witchcraft's black cat familiar), Jeanine McGillicuddy (receptionist), or Denise Dumont (Governmenbt Watchdog)? I realize I could just use the standard 'normal' template for most of them, use a 'cat' template for Sunshine, and a Reporter template for Julie; but was intrested to see if anyone has written up their own versions?

I'm designing a module for the future (I have 3-4 planned ahead), and the Super Villain of the day is "The Puzzle Master!" Basically, he's a slight ripoff/combination of Marvel's "Arcade" and DC's "Riddler." He's got a public ID and a Dist Feat - Looks like Beethoven (I was in a silly mood, but I'm keeping it). Basically he's a guy with waaaaay too much time and money, and spent his life obsessing over puzzles. He goes around, either stealing rare, ancient puzzles so he can solve them, or he does the whole "Terrorism with a puzzle disarming device", or possibly even a scavenger hunt accross the city so the heroes can stop something really really bad from happening (d…

My campaign is off to a good start. I have my goons, I have my equal pointed villians both one-shots and balanced. Heck, I even have Unphased; A 250-pt character who is nothing more than a Skill Normal with PD, ED, MD, PD, and Clinging resistant to throws through the roof. However, despite having made nearly 14 villians for my campaign to keep it going for a while, I am lacking Sinister Villians. So far, the best I have is a partially built villian named "Demon King" who has a dimensional rift in his chest. He removes people he doesn't like by having his minions grab them and letting the "Demon King" expose them to the portal. I don't know where it goes yet but …

Hello Heroites, Well, I think the Herodome Assembled consensus from my "Really Visible Power Effects" question is that indeed I cannot expect to get a significant cost savings Limitation for powers that are more visible than normal. That's OK. I have more... I've been thinking about Flight with jetpacks, jump jets or other propulsion systems vs inherent flying. Let's say I have a jetpack built into my powered armor suite. Without going into the implications of being stunned or knocked out while flying, some modes of flight are more dangerous than others. OK, I'm flying around the battlefield, jetpack a-blazing. I am hit with a good sized blast and knocked back a…

In one game I played a character who cost 185 points in a 250 point supers game. She was a gadgeteer whose main gimmick was a gliding suit with an owl theme. We were in combat with Marvel's Wrecking Crew. I swooped down behind Pile Driver and snatched the back of his mask and yabked it up and twisted it so it covered his eyes. The GM simply ruled this successful. Does anyone have a more objective way to adjudicate maneuvers of this sort.

One thing that I am looking into now that I have over 2000+ Characters in HD (ported over from Creation Workshop) I noticed that some of the redundant characters have been removed from the CU (Whiteflame, Charger, Giganto) and was wondering if there was any opinion of just how many X type characters should there be. What heroes and villains have felt the pinch of redundancy reduction in your games? If you don't use the "Champions Universe" villainy this wouldn't really apply.
