Champions has a long-standing tradition of using Marvel (and currently DC) "clones" when designing its various heroes and villains, and yet I cannot seem to recall a clone of Juggernaut ever being introduced. Has there ever been a Juggernaut clone written up (and thus either my memory or collection is faulty) or is that traditionally been the one villain deemed too inappropriate (invulnerability issues) to carry over into Champions?

For understandable reasons, the maps for places such as nuclear plants, oil platforms etc. are hard to find. However, I want my characters to have adventures in those places - and I want to give them maps for better orientation. Can anybody help me? Is there a link where I can find maps for (imaginary!!!) nuclear plants etc.?

On the show "Smallville," Clark Kent often runs so fast that he is practically invisible. He's really just invisbile to sight (the requisite whooshing sounds and air wake are usually there). I've never given this ability to a speedster, but I was wondering about the game mechanics behind it. Of course, one could just buy Invisibility to sight with "linked to Running," but I'm curious if people would allow a character to gain effective invisibility from a high velocity. And what would that velocity be?

Ive recently been retooling an old, old supervillian team from an old game for use in a new one... 'The Professionals'... mercenary supervillians of outcast origins. The name says it all.. they are cold, cool, slick, efficient, and well-organized. Not an iota more flashy than called for by the contract, not a bit more violent than necessary, but willing to do almost anything for the money. Recently I noticed a few errors that I hadn't noticed before in some Champions books..they jumped out at me and I figured I mention them... Error 1)I was reading my new copy of Millenium City and I noticed what seems to be an error (correct me if I'm wrong). The character Shadowboxer on PG 16-17 has his darkness set as '+1-Usable as Attack' & '-1/2-Self Only' so that (as the text on pg 17 says) the darkness can move with Shadowboxer. The use of the 'Usable as Attack' advantage seems to be a mistake as regular Darkness can be created on the user and moves with him (see pg 96 of FRED). I just thought of this on my way to work. In Classic Enemies, it stated that Scorpia was kind of bummed (paraphrasing here) to be surrounded by ugly freaks. So she and Feurmacher dump the other two uglies and she goes to join Eurostar. Now if the Whip and Whiteflame were still around this would be moot, but they have been jettisoned, and she is once again surrounded by ugly men. What's a girl to do? It occured to me that LeSone might not be all that ugly, but since he's blind, it wouldn't be very fulfilling for her because he couldn't constantly tell her how beautiful she was. It sucks to be a irish ninja.

Okay, I asked Steve about this, the answer was "no" so I ask, how can you make a character who damage from form A does not carry over to form B, but both can be harmed and both need normal healing time? As Steve has said no to my first idea (that was questinable), I ask for the rest of you to give me ideas

I would like to get a list of books that involve the presence of superbeings. In the past I have found books that involve nearly every other geners including scifi, western, fantasy, modern, historical, etc but involving supers is hard to find and when they do they are based around a popular comic. What I would like to find are good books that use supers that is not based on some popular comic (no X-Men, Avengers, Justice League, Superman, Flash, etc). Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

I found the Villains And Vigilantes conversion to Champions. Mind you, this is 3rd edition, i.e. Champions III that I'm reprinting here. I've updated certain powers to 5th ed terminology. I've also used current Power terms instead of the old olds when possible (ex. Mental Defense vs Ego Defense) STR : Use the Champions Strength Chart to find the Champions STR that represents the V&V Character's carrying capacity. Tyrannon the Conqueror was published back in Mystic Masters and the name remains part of Champions Universe, though little known and not a common everyday threat (like Dr. Destroyer or Takofanes). I looked at Tyrannon to eyeball how suitable he is for 5th edition versus needing a complete writeup. I was only mildly surprised to note he costs about 6300 points less in 5th edition.

I’m curious to how other GM’s handle certain legal issues in their games. Things like: Do you allow telepathy as evidence or is it an invasion of privacy? What if a person requests a telepath in court? What do you do with ultra-powerful paranormals who probably can’t be contained by normal means—Menton, Grond, Firewing, etc.. Anyone have any crazy off-the wall laws in their game? such as certain costumes may be considered indecent in public settings. Basically I’m looking for an overview on how GM’s handle legal issues that might pop up in a world with paranormals. Who are these guys? Our GM has used them alot as a kind of F.B.I. for superhuman cases. They've been generally regarded by us PCs as the folk who wait around the corner until the fight is over, then show up in time to make arrests. I'm running a campaign now, and I'm trying to make them more like C-SWAT in Cyberpunk (humans whose job is to fight superhumans - a dangerous task that attracts very dangerous people). There was a pretty neat thread on Nato's boards where people posted neato gadgets and devices. Someone made a nice little Prefab for HD out of it and the stuff was cool. Anyone wanna try that again? a friend and I got together yesterday just to play aroudn with combat, me playing Defender, and later on Witchcraft and Ironclan; him playing the villians (Pulsar, Photon and Foxbat + 2 "viper" agents). Defender vs Pulsar...Defender won but not after being knocked out and having to chase up to Pulsar. OK, I probably played the character a little foolishly, I admit it. I did kick Pulsar's @$$ at the end of it (move by's can be so much fun). I was hoping to start a thread on how to handle "Mystery powers". So here are some things I've done as a GM; Hold back on EXP to players, for the eventual "Radiation Accident", that grants a new power. Ideally the new power should have the following limitations to represent the "mystery" of the new power; NO CONSCIOUS CONTROL [power is literally unknown] 2 x END cost [ Extra effort, since how it works is a mystery] Activation Roll [ Character has had no chance to practice] Side Effect [ "Blacks out" when power is used-classic] Anyone else have any other suggestions or ideas???

Hi All, I'm building some characters for a group of people (very new to HERO) for my upcoming Champions campaign, and I'm having trouble building a concept, so I thought I would ask around here. I'm building the Armored Hero of the group, and I'm basing his armor on(i.e. stealing completely from) the Cyclone battle armor of Robotech (well, Mosepida) fame. Well, I got it and read it and here's my thoughts: Pros: 1. City layout, infrastructure, and culture very well-detailed. 2. Neat NPCs. I simply love Mr. X, Shadowboxer, Scarlet Shield, Dr. Silverback, and the others. 3. Lots of neat in-jokes. Probably more than I can detect. I laughed a lot. Cons: 1. The big emphasis on PSI really threw me. Frankly, I think it was a waste of space here. PSI just doesn't grab me in the least and I could think of many better things to put in place of its rather expansive treatment. I'm looking to see what types of pens or tips you use for inking. Also, do you prefer Photoshop or Illustrator for coloring in illustrations? Last but not least any advise on what type of layers to use for coloring (specifically grey scalled art)? Also a question for fun. When was the last time you did a drawing and without scanning it in, colored by hand the original and make any copies of it. Thus keeping it a rare one-of-a-kind.
